Like so many I suppose, we were drawn here by the legend of Jesse James being buried here. Upon further investigation after arrival, it appears that while a man by the name of Jesse James appears to be buried here, he's clearly not the JJ...More

Why they continue to claim that Jesse James is buried here is a mystery. We know here the real grave is and this guy was just an imposter but I guess it still draws in some tourists. For some real life history visit the Acton...More

The Granbury Cemetery is a very well-maintained historic cemetery and contains the graves of many of the founders and famous residents of Granbury. Most interesting are probably the grave of General Granbury, very small and plain, the supposed resting place of outlaw Jesse James, and...More

Visited the town's namesake Granbury's family plot along with the alleged final resting place of Jesse James. Kids looked up Jesse James on their smartphones and learned a little of post civil war legend. Worth a visit!

Took the kids to see the possible grave of Jesse James. Of course we had to put a penny on top, just in case. Lots of other interesting headstones. This is a cute little town full of history. Thanks to the reviewer who posted to...More
