This building was very nice to see. It gives you an idea of what it was like during those times, and I enjoyed learning Mexican history, too. This is worth seeing at least once.

Finally a decent explanation of the root of this annual celebration. It makes perfect sense and is a fine tribute to the man who defended Mexico from the French invasion. Lots of history here.

Quaint little display, worth checking out when you're visiting the Presidio anyway. I learned about why Cinco de Mayo is celebrated. You could look it up, but this little history lesson is more fun to learn here.

As the other reviewers said - it is just a small white building near the parking area at the Presidio. There is a historical marker. - we took a picture of that. We saw no reason to spend money to see a room where a...More

Wanted to see inside, but not open. Didn't see anything on hours of operation either. It's a good location, easy to get to, but what's the point of it isn't ever open lol.

Great amounts of labor and money were obviously spent to restore the building with little thought to the ambiance. It has no feeling of history, but just comes across as a white building with placards listing it's historic value.
