The sites here are breathtakingly beautiful, and the atmosphere is amazing. I felt honored to be in this place, and it made me understand Texas history better. I'm proud to be a Texan! Everyone should visit this place.

Friends wanted to show me this mission. I have seen many Missions in Texas, New Mexico, Mexico. Was a definite “ruins” with some restoration. Did not feel the signage was very good.

We decided as a family to get away from the hustle and bustle of Houston and enjoy Christmas as a family together out in nature camping and seeing the history in Goliad. If you like history Goliad is a place to come and visit. Christmas...More

This state park earned four stars because of the history and the convenience. As the site of a Spanish mission, fort and the Goliad Massacre during the time of the Texas Revolution this is a must do for any history lover. There is a path...More

We absolutely love the rustic historical missions located in the park. Goliad State Park offers accomodations for rv's, shelters & tent camping. In December the town comes alive as the park is illuminated & Las Posadas at Presidio offers visitors a glimpse of a Mexican...More

Pets are not allowed on the mission grounds of the park, the walled area around the mission building. The are welcome on a leash in the rest of the park. I do not remember if they are allowed in the fort compound.
