This quick stop is good for kids to burn some energy. Athletic shoes are a must! Good place to have a small picnic.

Pretty nice streambed with tumble of big boulders. Virtually no flow in this stretch of Paluxy River when I visited. Slippery rocks along a near stagnant stream. After a rain would expect it to be more interesting and a fun place for kids to play.

We parked near the restrooms and walked across the spillway dam to walk down the paved and lighted walking path. We turned around before going to the end.

My husband and I went here while in Glen Rose. If our kids would have been with us they would have enjoyed climbing around on the rocks for a little bit. The water was low and still so it didn't seem sanitary to get in...More

Had a fun time climbing among the rocks. Saw a hawk, a snake that was in the water and two cranes. Beautiful area and free swimming.

We drove by after lunch at Hammon's and we had to stop. The park is free! We had fun climbing these huge and beautiful rocks. Picnic tables are available along with life jackets, just in case. We will visit again!

Pros: Just pack a picnic lunch, head over and enjoy the views!! Perfect! Watch out going in and out though a bit slick with the sand and rocks. Otherwise a perfect weekend destination! Pack some water shoes and wear shorts. You will be pleasantly surprised....More

Went down and climbed the rocks and waded in the shallow water! So pretty and crystal clear water. Kids loved it! Just beware, the river bottom is very slippery.

The Brazos river is shallow here and perfect for cooling off, climbing the Big Rocks or fishing. I grew up in the area and it's always been a family favorite.

No. It's not very big , but it's worth seeing if you happen to be there. You can park and walk right in.

It is a typical river water experience. Most places are shallow and mild to moderate current, safe enough for youngsters. Some places more deep and good to swim. Water shoes are almost a must for all ages....protect feel... More
