Took my grandkids here and everyone LOVED it! My granddaughter went to the "dig" and got a cool stone to bring home. The whole experience was just fun and I'm going back with my great grandkids soon!

Walk where the dinosaurs did! Not much of the state park on top, but hike down to the river where the tracks are and it is well worth the drive. The swimming hole is amazing if not chilly. Once is a lifetime must see.

We didn't get to stay that long but my husband and I enjoyed the time we spent. Very beautiful outlooks. I would recommend this place for moderate to easy hiking.

Enjoyed this park very much. Wished it was not a 6 hour drive to get there but it was so worth it. The park was well maintained and had great hiking trails esp since I have a bad knee and cannot take rugged terrain. But...More

We ate a picnic lunch here and let the kiddos run. It is a nice park with a peaceful vibe. We saw no riff raff. We took a long walk.

Great park to stretch your legs and search for dinosaur tracks. Due to heavy rain fall the day before we weren't able to see the riverbed tracks but the scenery was still beautiful.

In one visit, this became one of my favorite state parks! The Paluxy River is beautiful, the hiking is great, and the dinosaurs are fun! When we were there, the river was actually too high to really see any dinosaur tracks, and we couldn't cross...More

You can see the tracks only if the water is down. We went there to hike but couldn't due to the rain. However we have been here before and it is a great place to relax, hike and see the history

When I was there it was winter but the water level was pretty low. I imagine there are areas to kayak but I don't think it's by the tracks. The tracks are accessible by walking. The only difficulty was crossing the creek on... More
Shoes... I know you have to wade through water and do a good amount of walking. What would be the best shoes? Nikes? Water shoes?

I wear Chacos. They're on the American Podiatry's top ten best shoes list, they have thick comfortable soles that you can walk on all day - I've done a 7 mile hike in them, and they dry quickly.
