Lots of hiking trails and TONS of dinosaur tracks! River was bath water warm, so not as refreshing as we would have like in the heat. Back in sites only. Almost all sites are very shaded. No sewer hook ups.

We spent the morning walking along the river looking at dinosaur tracks. Weather was gorgeous on this September morning. We didn't do the "official hikes" but had a good time.

I mean, my family and I spent an afternoon walking around searching for dinosaur tracks. Then we went back to Dallas. I'm sure you could spend longer than an afternoon if you wanted but even just that was really nice.

The swimming is perfect. Not really deep but very clean water for a river or otherwise. Not sure about the burn ban though.
