Like another reviewer mentioned there was a lot of fog when we drove here on a February afternoon. We could barely see the water. Not many people were there this time of year which would be nice since it gets so crowded in summer. We just stayed in our car and tried to see the waves and then left. The... More

Dog friendly, wasn't too crowded. Of course we were there during off season so there was not a charge to get on the beach and the crowds were small. Our family and furbabies had a blast.

Not intending a swim or romp in the surf, we enjoyed strolling the beach in the morning. Friendly folk engaging the stroll gave remembrances to memories over 40 years of visits. Children all grown, grandchildren also, but the occasion is still remembered with my bride of 52 years.

We went in December and there was so much fog we almost couldn't see anything. The beach was clean and very calm. There were a lot of shops and eating places around the beach. The water was cold and if the fog wasn't there it would've been gorgeous. I would recommend maybe checking the weather bc the fog ruins the... More

The beach was very beautiful and clean. We walked on the beach and watched the waves roll in. Took off our shoes and waded into the water. Too cold this time of the year.

It's the beach. It is kept clean. However, I can't believe you have to pay to go to the beach when there are still other free beaches. Also, Galveston now required paid parking down the seawall. I know, I know, but it is a little much!

The beach is kept up daily and is a comfortable place to visit. I highly recommend getting up early to capture the sunrise as no other place will offer. Enjoy!

Plenty of trash cans! Large beach and parking areas. Family friendly and lifeguard is usually on duty.

For a few dollars to park, you have a great beach with plenty of resources to make your visit comfortable such as restrooms, chairs, umbrellas and food.

Our family visited Stewart Beach on a recent weekend trip to Galveston. There were a fair number of people there, but it didn't feel overly crowded. We enjoyed swimming, watching ships in the distance, and playing in the sand (which is sand, not dirt as a previous reviewer falsely claimed). The bathroom/shower area was kind of gross because of people... More
