the sea wall is so long and there is lots going on all along it, shops, bars and of course a magnificant beach that goes on for miles and miles..... very hot walking but plenty to see, or just sit and watch the sea.

This is a nice Beach to take some pictures and go for a stroll, but it's just too darn hot and humid to have any fun. The water is murky, but that's just from turbulence. There are many better things to do around the Houston...More

It's a long strip of grey sand, with oil rigs in the distance. Across the street are the usual assortment of fancy classic hotels to trashy stores selling smoking stuff. Also a variety of eateries from those that would classify themselves as Five Star in...More

I enjoy the sea wall every time I go to Galveston Texas. It's relaxing and enjoyable. It has beauty within itself. Near restaurants and activities to do along the way.

Great place to take an early morning I hope walk before the tourists get up and get out on the beaches. Nice murals and statues all over the walk.

Nice walk on the beach. The upgrade to Galveston beach is nice. The water isn't blue but the beach is a nice place to just relax and/or walk.

Yes it is a good beach for families. With a very gradual decline, most of the time the water is shallow a good distance from the beach. Yes you can bring your own umbrellas and chairs.
