I wanted to take my dog on a trip because he is getting older and has never seen the beach. While that sounds silly, I took him here and he loved it. Thanks!

Weather was 68 degrees F on this November day. Walking along the sea wall was nice. Parking at the hotel & along the road is easy during the off season.

My husband and I rode our bikes from the hotel and down the seawall. There were some sidewalk closures due to construction (61st St) and another in the direction of Pleasure Pier. I assume this construction is happening now because it's the off-season for tourists....More

Our hotel is not far from the seawall. It's a beach along the seawall boulevard and a nice place for a walk or just sitting there for the sunset. There's so many restaurants on the other side of the street.

Lots of stairs, warnings for current conditions, and very clean. Plenty of parking available makes it easy to make a quick stop.

Yes it is a good beach for families. With a very gradual decline, most of the time the water is shallow a good distance from the beach. Yes you can bring your own umbrellas and chairs.
