Rainforest

Always good for a few hours to swing in & see something new each time. Be prepared to be a bit warm due to the humid rain forest. Some people forget that part.

There's more at Moody Gardens than we saw, but it is definitely what I'd call a "wow" place. There are three pyramids, housing three different displays, a paddle boat, and lovely, lush grounds. During our visit, the aquarium pyramid was being renovated but had a "soft opening" that allowed us to see it up to that point and when it's... More

Good for anyone over 48". Ropes course kept us entertained all day. Not too crowded, great views and challenging course. The "child course" for those under 48" isn't very much at all. I'm sure it's hard to cater to everyone under 48", but it's more suited for toddlers than 5-8 year olds. Great day as our kids were the perfect... More

This place is a little pricey, but well worth it. Definitely plan on spending at least three hours here if you plan on checking out everything Moody Gardens gardens has to offer. The aquarium was under renovation when we visited but we were able to check out the rainforest pyramid which was super neat!

My husband and I went through the rainforest and dinosaur pyramids. We really enjoyed them both, but in my opinion it's a bit pricey. The rainforest took us a while to get through and we did get to see a stingray feeding, which was pretty cool. The dinosaur exhibit was really neat and not at all what I expected. I... More

Moody Gardens is large, and unique, and visually impressive, and not something you can whip through in 30 minutes - if you do that, you WILL be disappointed. We did the rainforest and aquarium pyramids and took a ride on The Colonel paddlewheel boat. The freshwater beach and lazy river weren't open yet - understandable. You would be well advised... More

We absolutely love a Moody Gardens! The hotel accommodations are excellent, and the on-site amenities are extremely family friendly. Our family looks forward to visiting multiple times each year (summer and winter).

Moody Gardens is very interesting to visit because there's something for everyone. It's as entertaining as it is educational. I loved the rainforest exhibit, as well as the fact that the exhibits are housed in two pyramids. Take the time to visit there!
