While visiting in Galveston, my host took me to Moody Gardens - the Rain Forest. Was very crowded and noisy so animals were hiding. Would have enjoyed the aquarium but was closed.

Okay, so virtually nothing is opened as they prepare for the tourist season and renovations. The couple of people there serving as volunteer guides were lovely and knowledgable and enthusiastic. From afar we spotted the Colonel, a huge refurbished Mississippi steamship, of sorts. 10 $ for an hour. The trip did not last an hour, more like 45 minutes; not... More

We visited during spring break. It wasn't very busy so we were able to enjoy the dinosaurs in motion and the rainforest. The little kids and our teenager had fun. We were kind of disappointed with the dinosaur in motion exhibit. It is just one side of a conference room and that is it. However, the kids had fun with... More

We visited on a Saturday morning during spring break. Getting there early was key. We got there around 10 and the crowds were minimal. We visited the rainforrest pyramid, it was fantastic as usual with staff strategically placed throughout to tell you about certain animals. We also visited the imax which was a first for us, this particular show was... More

We went to the dinosaur exhibit- it was ok. Not really worth the price. All there is is metal Dino's and you pull cables and they move. It's pretty quick to just go through them. The rainforest was neat. The kids liked it.

You cannot go wrong with spending the day at Moody Gardens - something for all ages. Kids - and adults - love the ropes course. the movies are educational as is the rain forest.

It's a must do when we visit but since the aquarium is under construction I think the price should have been discounted! We road the colonial and the system was down for pictures, and some of the employees were rude or didn't explain things when you asked!

I had been to Moody Gardens for a training class a few years previously and was eager to show it to my family. Rainforest pyramid was beautiful. We were hoping the paddle boat ride was going to be narrated but it wasn't.
