DO NOT MISS THIS FANTASTIC TOWN. Fredericksburg retains the charm and srchitecture of the early days. They have NOT allowed new stores like McDonald's, Wendy's, etc. in the downtown area. There are not neon signs. They have maintained the early 1900's decor. There are numerous...More

Fredericksburg is a great place for a weekend trip for the couple or family. We have visited frequently over the years and have always enjoyed spending a half day or day strolling around main street. Variety of shops, snacks, and restaurants.

Main Street Fredericksburg has something to offer anyone. There's a large variety of interesting shops for all tastes and pocketbooks, numerous restaurants, bars, and wineries, art galleries, museums, etc. to entertain for hours. It's mostly geared towards adults.

Great little town to stroll around. Lots of shops and restaurants. Our only problem was that most places were closed early evening on Sunday.
