We thoroughly enjoyed our stop at the Visitors Information Center. The short movie about the town and the area was a good introduction to Fredericksburg and the surrounding area. And the restroom facilities were VERY clean even on the holiday weekend.

There are some additional unique shopping experiences off Main. Smitten is on Auguste not far from downtown. Vintage items, beautifully arranged. Great front porch.

If you are AT ALL interested in German food or culture this is a GREAT place to visit. The museums are fabulous and the food is AMAZING. Also plenty of antique stores and boutiques. The area around the city is BEAUTIFUL.

We go once a year as a family and enjoy it so much. Love the many choices you have for wineries. Will be coming back soon.

Fredeicksburg is one of the most special places in Texas. It offers a wide variety of activities and restaurants. The surrounding scenery should not be missed.. Plan on spending 4 or 5 days to take it all in.

What a great quaint place to visit. Great Old Town, good restaurants and good bars. Great for walking tours. Fall season would be excellent.
