I have visited this museum twice in the past few years. Since I enjoy reading/visiting Civil War museums, this was definitely on my to see list when moving here. It is not overly priced....well worth the money that is charged. I liked the comparison figures...More

This stop turned out to be a highlight on a day trip between Ft Worth and Dallas. I never made Dallas as I spent most of the day at the Museum. The Museum is very laid back but in a very respectful and serene way....More

The Texas Civil War museum on the west side of Fort Worth was a pleasant surprise. A really fine collection of artifacts, weapons, uniforms, and trinkets such as sewing kits and mess kits from both sides of the War Between The States. Most items are...More

Thank you for visiting the museum and your review. We do not embrace technology as mentioned--but we do embrace history. For our younger guests we have scavenger hunts, ABC finds, Word Searchers and Scrambles--with a nice treat given for a job well done. We hope...More

This museum was very interesting, though a tad on the small side. The only downside was it was a bit expensive for what you got.

Always been interested in history so took the time to check out this museum. Like other reviews spent a couple hours exploring. Amazing exhibits and sad when you see the background since a lot comes from family loans so it’s actual history of a person,...More

So glad you were able to visit. Everything you said is so true and every day I am both saddened for these men, but encouraged that our county could withstand such a horrific event, come out stronger and become the leader of the free world....More

We appreciate your taking the time to visit and a review and your friend for suggesting you visit. We believe a museum should just present the evidence and as you mentioned--"to inform," but not tell one how they must feel about it. The latter would...More

The museum only charges $6 for adult admissions. It is a very complete collection of guns, knives, artillery, uniforms, etc.... best I have seen. They also have a separate collection of 19th century women's dresses, which my wife enjoyed. The staff and docents are very...More

Bill is a dedicated volunteer and just an incredibly nice person. We are always delighted to hear feedback from our visitors—but especially so when it is a multi-generational family enjoying time together, creating previous memories. Thank you for coming.

I am so sorry as I did not see the question until now. Allow 2 hours if you have a general interest in the war. If you are really interested in the period allow 4.
