This was really fun!!!!! It was the National Day of the Cowboy so there was a parade and many shows! The herding longhorn cattle through the street was really interesting. We had so much fun!!!!

Found myself with some spare time in Dallas and made the trip to Fortworth Stockyards. The staff in the information centre were friendly and helpful. This is really set up more for families. There is a petting zoo, pony rides, a maze and a couple...More

We have been here several times, there is a maze for kids, plenty of delicious restaurants to see, live bands out in front of the stockyard coliseum, the cattle drive is short - but very authentic and a nice experience to watch.

The Main Street is full of cafe's, old wares shops and quirky souvenir shops. The walking of the longhorns is interesting for overseas city folk. Probably allow yourself about 2 hours in the morning to do it all.

We had an amazing time at the Fort Worth Stockyards. We tried to take in as much as we could in the few hours we had. I highly recommend this attraction to anyone visiting Texas.

A fun place to visit, particularly during the evening. Gives a taste of TX with the gents and ladies in their TX hat and boots. Also, nice stores and restaurants.

It's a little over a mile hike from the stockyards to old downtown Fort Worth. I enjoyed the steakhouse in old Fort Worth but they do have several places to eat there. There is a little mall there where we ate very good... More

By taxi or car, you're looking at about 15 minutes. Not really possible on foot.
