A small park in the park system, but we like the quiet, easy pace; just a great place for relaxing with or without a little fishing. Most sites have a picnic table and firepit in a somewhat secluded little hollow. Nice They only have 30...More

We spent thanksgiving weekend here, every camping spot was full. But yet it was still quiet and very tranquil. The RV spots are very wooded so you do have some very nice privacy between camp sites. The hiking trails are very well maintained. The lake...More

This is a little piece of outdoor paradise, close to home. My family and I love to come here and camp as well as use the day facilities. This place is family fun for every one.

Pleasant, quiet, relaxed, well maintained park and every camp space is shaded and surrounded with woods giving each space a feeling of privacy. Lake belongs to the park and is managed for bass and crappie fishing. Really enjoyed our week here.

If wanting to escape a big city and do a little fishing this park is great. Not a worthwhile visit for hiking and exploring. I also recommend bringing your food along as the local area has poor restaurants other than the chains. Great staff and...More

I believe there are alligators in Purtis Creek, yes. I've never seen one, but according to the state park website they have been seen in the area.
Howdy! How much to rent the pavilion for day? Thanks, Andy
