There's so many great things to say about Homestead Heritage, it's hard to find where to begin. The people working in the shops, restaurant and demonstration cabins were so sweet and open to showing you how they make their craft. You can even take classes here and stay in a few of the cabins they have. The food samples they... More

This marvelous restaurant rests on beautiful acreage with many shops as well as exhibits of local history. We had to wait to be seated so we took the time to visit a shop and enjoy the wonderful scenery. We went back to the restaurant to find our table ready. The food was great. We both were delighted with our meals.... More

This has become a favorite of ours when visiting the Waco area at Thanksgiving. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is wholesome, the food is delicious, and the activities are fun and educational.

The people love what they do and enjoy sharing it with you. They do rely for income on selling their products, but they are more concerned with your enjoying the day. It was refreshing , after all the animosity seen on the tv news during 2016, to be reminded there are still gentle, kind, happy people. Every shop is an... More

We enjoyed the fair, the food and a tremendous experience. The people were very friendly and helpful. The concert was amazing. So, in spite of the rainy weather it was well worth our trip to Homestead Heritage Fair.

Thanksgiving Fair: great event for the whole family on the Friday & Saturday after Thanksgiving. They have all kinds of demonstrations: old world type wood working, draft horse plowing, pine needle basket making, cotton preparation and spinning, pottery, broom making, sheepdog herding, etc. These demonstrations are similar to what you would see at Williamsburg, Virginia. The Homestead Thanksgiving fair also... More

This was our second year to go to the fair. We have loved our experiences going there! The community members are so very friendly and welcoming. I even got a few hugs while there :-). Their handmade crafts are beautiful, and their food is absolutely delicious! The cinnamon rolls are the best I have ever had. Brick oven pizza very... More

We stopped here for lunch after going to Mammoth National Monument. There was a twenty minute wait, BUT, they will text when table is ready and there is more than enough shopping and things to look at to pass the time. Excellent lunch; very fresh and tasty, good service. Then count on spending more time going to watch the work... More

We visited Homestead Heritage as part of a visit to Waco. It was a beautiful setting with many interesting buildings on a self-sustaining farm. Lunch at their cafe was very good. I was intrigued by the clothing worn by the employees and started doing some research concerning their "ministry" as we were driving back to Waco. What I learned about... More

Excellent healthy food. Take a trip in time. Walked around the ground and saw water mill, iron works and such. Awesome property
