About
Treaty Oak Distillery is named after the famous 500-year old tree in Austin under which Stephen F. Austin signed agreements defining the borders of Texas. In 2016, we moved southwest of Austin to a 28 acre ranch called Ghost Hill located near Dripping Springs. With fun for young & old, our property (open Thurs-Sun) includes a distillery (tours on Saturdays, res required), Alice's Restaurant, a chic dine-in space with an elevated menu focusing on BBQ, sandwiches, salads & sides. Our food truck serves BBQ, tacos & snacks. Our Rickhouse Bar is open to all & our Tasting Room has a science-driven bar. Also, don't miss our bottle shop located adjacent to the distillery. We have live music most weekends & a playground for kids. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Visited with intentions on buying a few bottles to take back to Georgia. Well due to being controlled by gov’t regulations I just had one cocktail which was more savings than switching to Geico. God Bless Texas......

Family fun (Adults/Seniors/Teens). Very friendly for kids too. We took the tour and loved learning about the distillery. If you like learning about Whiskey, Vodka & Gin - this is an awesome tour! We learned so much. Personally, we were so impressed with the Yaupon Gin - a native Texas berry. So yummy - a must try! They have beverages that are premixed with their spirits or you can try a flight. The garden is open with local music and the restaurant has very good burgers. Wonderful for a relaxing afternoon.

I had a friend visiting Austin from the UK and I recently took him out to Treaty Oak Distillery in Dripping Springs. The owner, Daniel, greeted up which was great! Such a nice man. We had lunch at Alice's Restaurant named after his mother, whom I had spoken to on the phone a couple of weeks ago as I had question about hours of tours, etc. She was such a nice lady! The staff in the restaurant was GREAT and the portions were so large we shared a 3 meat plate. The brisket was excellent and my friend really enjoyed the ribs. Highly recommended and worth the drive from Austin.

We booked the last tour on Sunday. The others on our tour were well on the way to being over served, making our tour guide Jorge have a difficult time. He tried! Some interesting historical tidbits! My husband, the bourbon drinker, didn’t care for the bourbon. The cocktails were on “tap”—which seemed odd. We had the brisket nachos and they were delicious! Nice way to pass the afternoon—but probably wouldn’t return.

I wanted a great surprise for my husband's birthday, and Treaty Oak delivered. Jamie helped me with many many questions about handicapped & gluten free accommodations.
Cody provided our tour, and he was AMAZING. He was knowledgable, polite, met us at our knowledge level, and was so so enjoyable. We learned so much about ditilling bourbon and gin.
Alice's Restaurant was very good. The brisket was amazing. My husband loved the brisket burger.
I would recommend this as an outing for many differnet occasions. I look forward to outdoor music when COVID has lowered it's ugly head.

We were here to celebrate my son's 40th birthday and truly loved it. First off there were no lines to order food or beverages. The food came quickly and was excellent. The whisky and gins are amazing. The service was friendly too. We were all wearing birthday tees that I had made and when one was left on a table a staff person tracked down my son int he tasting room to return it.
All in all a beyond expectations experience!

My wife and I ended up visiting Treaty Oak while in Austin from Chicago for a wedding. We didn't have much time for sightseeing but we were wanting to experience as much as we could in the limited time. We love hitting up distilleries when we go out of town, so seeing the great reviews Treating Oak already had, we decided to try it out ourselves. That was a great decision. We enjoyed our time so much the first day, we decided to go back the next to see what else it had to offer. In a nutshell, if you are looking for a topnotch bourbon distillery, with fantastic food, and absolutely great/friendly service, this is the place to go. I wish they were closer to us because I'd be there all the time. I don't know when will be back to Austin, but when we are, Treaty Oak will be visited again.

We visited Treaty Oak with friends while “distillery hopping” in the Hill Country and it was by far one on the nicest we visited. We ordered beer and nachos. The ale was served ice cold and the order of nachos was enough for us four and tasty too.

I had the opportunity to visit Treaty Oak Distilling for a work event this past week and we had a great time.

I tried the old fashioned and the Texas Tea. I would highly recommend either one. If it’s hot out, I’d probably stick with the gin options as they had a lot that looked refreshing.

We also had the BBQ while we were there and I would definitely stop in again for lunch sometime.
