I like to take a motorcycle ride in the afternoons, away from Austin, Dripping Springs is about 1/2 hour away (course I live on the southwest side of Austin). The Barber Shop is a classic old rock station building that has been a barber shop previously. Now they offer about 30 taps from Texas breweries. They have a beer garden,... More

We used to take our boys here to get a haircut. Nowadays, however, getting a "haircut" at the Barber Shop means stopping by for a brew and some socializing. No more barbers cutting hair, but the owners cleverly kept the name, look, and vibe. Good drinks, regular music sessions, locals mingling with out-o'-towners; it's the official town pub in the... When visiting Dripping Springs, this is a must drop in place for those who enjoy a very laid back atmosphere and very excellent micro breweries on tap.

Just the kind of place Dripping Springs needed. Love to meet here with friends and always a great place to see some music. Now if we can just get good restaurants.

Nice dive bar in downtown Dripping Springs. If you like beer, go. If you like wine or cocktails, skip it. Food is ok with some music.

Wonderful beer options on tap. Ample bottle choices. Marginal wine options, but drinkable. This is just a fun place to go as couples or groups. You sit at picnic tables or outside. People actually talk to each other here! Very social and friendly staff. This is very popular with locals and there are crowds here. If you do not like... More

We love going to the barbershop. The people are awesome and the craft brews are excellent as well. Low key atmosphere.

We stumbled on The Barber Shop as we were strolling around Dripping Springs on a First Thursday. I found it curious that people were sitting out front drinking, with no indication it was a bar, so we went inside. Super low-key, seemed to be mostly locals. Great tap selection (although heavy on the IPAs), and I got a $3 local... More

Lots of friendly locals and good beer. Bar stools are way too short, but plenty of picnic tables. Tap selection is good and rotates in new beers frequently. If you are hungry bring in a pizza from pizza cave. Owner John brews up some tasty offerings as well.
