Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Yes, there is a security check much like at airports, followed by a short introduction from one of the docents, and then we were on our own to explore the exhibit. Throughout there were items that either caught our attention or gave us a chance to interact, just right for everyone really from upper elementary on up. The focus is on the purposed of the fed, as well as how the one in Dallas pertains to the area it serves, as well as activities that demonstrate basic factors of our economic structure. We were there about 30 minutes but if we hadn't been in a hurry to get to the art museum that day, too, we could have stayed about twice that long. For a free exhibit , we were impressed.

A security tight museum inside the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank. This museum tells you the history of banking in the United States from the Colonial period until today. They have several real examples of old American currency. Its free and worth a trip to learn about how the Federal Reserve works.

Put on your bucket list if going to be in area. It is free. It has a gift shop. They have a short movie you can watch if you want too (I recommend it) before taking self guided tour. They give hand held device and each section is numbered and you push that number on you device for explanation of what is being done there. The money goes through a very long complicated process. I think even more amazing is what it takes to make all these machines and to get them to work in the order they have to. Leave all electronic devices home or lock them up in your car, they are not allowed & you got through security check like at the airport. A lot of walking, but also accessible to handicap devices.

It’s cool, lots of security for obvious reasons. The guards were firm but friendly.

Interesting look at currency through the years. I liked looking at the old notes.

No photos allowed inside. Btw there are cameras everywhere! You’ll need to show your ID to get in. Free shredded notes in a bag if you want it.

Free parking, no entrance fee and kid friendly. The place was great, they have all types of money on display and interactive displays. They even give you a bag of money at the end of the tour.

We took the 'guided' tour at 10:00 am and would highly recommend it. Reginald Hill our guide was the best. He was great especially with the children ... he really got them deeply involved and gave a good example of great parenting to boot.

I learned about a dozen important things about our money system that I did not know and have a deeper respect for the Federal Reserve System than before the tour.

It's free and the guided tour takes about two hours. I just can't think of any better (and more entertaining) use of two hours. I'm so glad my partner suggested that we attend.

Again special thanks to Reginald Hill who was terrific.

I thought the Federal Reserve did a great job setting up a variety of interactive stations and provided a great history lesson on the creation of the Federal Reserve system in America. I loved the entry 3-D bank teller from the 1800’s. The Q and A quiz show was fun and showed us how much we did know! The exhibit on counterfeit money wasn’t working and that was disappointing.

I really enjoyed this tour and it’s format. It takes one to two hours depending on how many videos or programs you interact with. I thought it was an activity, more attractive to older audiences or people with an interest in history and details. It is free and they have sample bags of free cash! (Haha ) I tried to pay for my BBQ lunch at Sammy’s with the bag of money and the cashier did laugh. I wish we had time to visit the Bureau of Printing and Engraving in Ft. Worth.

I visited the "Economy in Action" exhibit on a week day. I had the good fortune of it being a quiet day and was able to talk with Reginald, the Director of Education at the Dallas Fed. He provided lots of detail and answered all of my questions. It was a fascinating look at our Federal banking system and its history. Reginald is a true ambassador and very knowledgeable. Thanks for a great experience!

Took a group of middle school students for a self-guided tour as guided tours weren't scheduled for that day. When we got there, we ended up getting a guide who was very engaging. The students had fun and learned a lot. Would definitely recommend.

Educational activity that tells more about Dallas, Texas economy than the Federal aspect of money. We wanted to see more about the way money circulates, how it's made, takenot out of circulation, repaired, but found out that is explained at Fort Worth and we were not willing to drive that far
