Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While in Dallas on business, we just HAD to go out to a night at the symphony. We were Season Ticket Holders when we lived here and it felt like "going home" when we attended a very fine performance of Brahms and Franck. Superb, as usual...

We attend the Meyerson every December to see the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Christmas Pops show. We love attending the symphony and the experience helps to complete our Christmas Season. However, this year I would like to review our dining experience before the show. My wife and I dined with 2 other couples and found it to be a wonderful experience. The Director of Food and Beverage, Mark Hamilton, found room for us at the last minute and had our table waiting when we arrived. They had an exceptionally good variety of upscale buffet dining. My wife is highly allergic to anything dairy, not just lactose intolerant, she gets very ill if she eats any dairy products. We mentioned this to Craig James the regional vice president of Culinaire and he went back into the kitchen and had a full meal prepared specifically for her dietary needs. The staff was also very attentive as we ate. Kudos to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the food service staff before the performance.

Orchestra Terrace is without a doubt my favorite seating. The first four rows on main floor is uncomfortably close. Seats behind the stage are just plain uncomfortable. The sound is always fantastic.

The Center deserves six stars --were that possible. An NPR'ish crowd of Sedaris fans made even us feel erudite. However, the $27 Advantage valet parking was bad for 3 reasons: 1. They could not find our keys, though our car was on the street. We waited and waited. No supervisor anywhere to be found. 2. The 5 guys on duty all swore that no one parked my Tesla that evening....at least one of the valet parkers was dishonest. 3. The Tesla power gauge showed that my car was "driven like it was stolen." Acceleration history showed recent peaks on the gauge indicating one of the valets had fun. No doubt the dishonest one.

In January I purchased 2 tickets for $65 each for a Nathan Pacheco concert ( similar to Josh Groban style) and I have been such a fan. Two days ago I received a call from the Myerson asking for a donation of only $250 to support their music. So you would think if they could contact me asking for donation then they could at least call, email, post on their website or even let the news media know about the cancellation tonight. There was just a note on their door to call if you wanted a refund. I doubt that this will be an easy process and doubt that they will refund the $20 for valet parking. This was to be my first concert at the Myerson which is 30 miles away and will not try ths again since Fort Worth has Bass Hall which is closer and not a disappointment.

The hall is beautiful. Staff were helpful in getting us to our seats. Sound of the special NYE concert was perfect. Musicians and guest conductor were amazing.

We have attended the Meyerson many times as patrons of the DSO. We have dropped out because the programming has changed and no longer appeals to us. As far as the Meyerson is concerned, it is getting a little long in the tooth. Ownership by the City of Dallas is probably a major handicap because of the poor fiscal management practices of the City of Dallas. Perhaps if the Meyerson were converted to ownership by a private foundation then it could get the upgrades it needs. For example the seats were really getting bad the last time we were there in December of 2018. We simply can not conceive of a reason to tour just the Meyerson itself. That would be worth about five minutes at the most. There are still things that appeal in the form of attractions. If you have not seen the traditional Christmas then it is worth it. Still there is little to attract us now. The Meyerson is in the past for us. I should also point out that the quality of the restaurants within the Meyerson has deteriorated over the past few years. It used to be good and a stop for us before a concert. No longer. Now I would give them an avoid rating. Just not good. We tried talking to the management but the bottom line is that they don't care. Poorly run and on a decline. Why bother?

Our family comes here every December for the Dallas Symphony’s annual holiday performance. This year was great. I even got to join in the 12 days of Christmas with Santa!

Nice place for a performance! The seats are pretty good, except the choral section, and they are not so good. Thing is, the choral section is cheap, and you can feel the timpani, watch the conductor, and see the pianist's hands. Trade off in comfort is huge tho!
