Visiting in March, there are only a couple of nice children oriented museums open but it was a very nice stroll around the lagoon and seeing the many Exposition era buildings. It is accessible by DART but much better if you have a car.

Every fall, North Texans and beyond descend on Fair Park to partake in the culinary delights, as well as the fun activities and exhibits of the State Fair of Texas. Don't miss the Bird Show, and you might even enjoy the pig races! Fletcher's Corny Dogs is a must, and maybe a turkey leg and a big ice-cold root beer... More

Another fabulous outing at Fair Park. All things considered this a great place to visit year around. Parking can be cumbersome so you may want to try the DART train system or a bus. Plenty of security private and public but not overbearing at all. The crowds are always well behaved, generally. It is always special for us to attend... More

The state fair is so much fun! It can get pricey but there are a lot of special discount days that save a lot of money. The fair runs in Late September-early October but it is Dallas so the weather can get quite hot. The fair is always crowded but usually not as much during the week. Theres plenty to see.... More

I was on business trip to Plano, good the opportunity to go to the Texas State Fair as I got it recommended with some colleagues. A lot of games and rides, and A LOT of people as expected. It was really nice, really recommend for everyone that has the opportunity to go there when it is on!

We went to the fair for the first time since we just moved close to Dallas. We went on Long Horn Weekend, which we knew nothing about. Unless you are going to the game, I recommend you choose a different weekend. It was extremely crowded which made getting around for my brother rather difficult since he is in a wheelchair.... More

Came here for the State Fair. Parking is a mess, but it's organized given the event. The layout of the fairgrounds is nice, and there was a lot to do. Fair Park isn't in the best neighborhood, so be sure to travel in pairs if coming here for any event.
