entry is free with donations excepted. they are working on exhibits daily. very enjoyable. an added feature is going into a typical home in the day. doors close and a "dust storm" surrounds you. Really good experience.

If you enjoy Texas history, you will love this museum. The historical information about the Dust Bowl was outstanding. Our only complaint, we didn't have as much time to spend there as we would have liked.

Since I grew up in XIT land, it was a trip down memory lane for me. Many of the names mentioned were in my memories. I would recommend this museum to anyone interested in the lore of the Texas Panhandle.

We all enjoyed walking around the museum and seeing pics of the old cowboys and other old things. There was also a more modern area about the dairys, the kids found interesting

A work in progress but what museum isn't? They have a lot to share and the museum looks small from the street but don't let that fool you. There is plenty to see. Everything is carefully identified and displayed nicely.

The XIT museum tells the story of the XIT Ranch which I found very interesting. The museum wasn't real big but I still spent about 1 1/2 hours there. I would recommend stopping here if your into ranching history or old west history. They operate...More

Be prepared to spend much time because the museum has many interesting rooms to explore. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We would encourage...More

From the street, this museum looks deceptively small. The majority of the museum is dedicated to the ranch, including the people, work, everyday life, animals, and tools associated with it. There were also other displays about local history. In the back of the museum, there...More
