Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The caretakers are lovely.
The park is right on the beach so very handy, great walks , Lifesavers on patrolled beach.
The park itself is not particularly clean, the van sites hav cigarettes butts around them slabs are not clean, drains in showers smell and water doesn’t drain away well from ladies showers especially, rubbish bins are overflowing with rubbish stashed around the back of them, it’s top $$$ the top rating would be the location only.

Visited on Tuesday 5th February. This is another great beach and not to be missed, you can walk up to the lighthouse to take in the amazing views.

Booked into an Airbnb near tweed river. Could walk to the light house on top of the hill. Nice hiking trails. They were not very long trails. Dreamtime beach is in one side of the hill and the other side is Fingal Head beach. Beautiful basalt columns at the base of the hill. There is one restaurant and a corner shop closer to where we stayed. Had to go to Tweed Heads to shop in supermarkets. It wasn't very far to drive though. Boat ramps along the Tweed river gave easy access to boaties. Saw a lot of anglers catching small fish at all hours of the day. Beautiful sunrise over the head as it faces east. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend. Would recommend for a short getaway to break from every day routine.

Such a beautiful place with the lighthouse and scenic beach views. After locking up our bikes we walked all the walking trails from the car park at Fingal Head. We spent awhile here just soaking in the scenery

Walking along the beach is pleasant and you can walk a few kilometres and go via the small lighthouse but the surf does not look safe. I wouldn’t swim there.

We visited Fingal Beach today after visiting Fingal Head Lighthouse. It was a hot sunny day but the beach was deserted. The beach was beautiful with fine white sand. This is a patrolled beach but there were no lifeguards seen on the beach. You could see basalt columns from the beach.

The view atop the hill has a almost 210 view to the North and South Coast.

Amazing spot. Quiet & absolutely stunning. Like beaches were before the influx of people. Mid beach you can take your furry friends.
Generally great 🏄🏻 surf.
No surf life saving.
Short walk to beach through bushland.
Great long stretch of beach for a walk... or jog if you like your fitness :) 😋

Is the walk to the lighthouse suitable for an elderly person
Written 15 July 2018
The walk to the lighthouse would require a good level of fitness as it is all sand. Once you reach the lighthouse, there is quite a slope. So depending on the fitness of the person, I would have to say that it would not be suitable for a person that requires assistance.
