Being Country Music fans we have looked forward to the Texas Country Hall of Fame, we were definitely not disappointed. The hostess who met us upon arrival was a real delight, she gave us a brief introductory tour then turned us loose to discover on our own. It was such fun reading all the bios, seeing the costumes and playing... More

Very good display of Texas Country Musicians inducted into the Hall of Fame. The museum also has nice display of country music friends who have shared their talent while in Carthage.

This small museum is nicely arranged. It contains country music stars from Texas and friends, mostly traditional stars from the early days. It also has a display of John Ritter-of Three's Company fame- who is Tex Ritter's son.

This Museum I wanted to see, so it came across, when we planned our motorcycle tour through Texas. Nice ladies at the reception. They gave us a quick introduction and than let us enjoy the collection of Texas born Country stars. A lot of information are displayed, so it never gets boring. And you can get a very good insight... This small museum focuses on country music stars of Texas, from songwriters, to musicians, to stars. The exhibits are very good highlighting the lives, costumes, songs of these musicians/singers who have been inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame. There are more extensive exhibits on Tex Ritter and Jim Reeves who grew up in the Carthage area. We... More

I was surprised The Texas Music Hall of Fame was as good as it was. I've been to the hall of fame in Nashville which is great but I didn't think this one would be as good as it was. It's on a much smaller scale because of course it's Texas artist not the whole country. I enjoyed every minute... More

Very clean and well displayed biographies and objects from the lives of many entertainers that we grew up with. A plus is that cameras are allowed and I took over 30 pictures while there. They are open from 10-4 and if you want to take a lunch break, you can leave and return to finish your tour without paying another... More

On our amazing trip through Southern Texas and Louisiana this was an unexpected stop-off. Lovely ladies at reception, informal guided tour, excellent exhibits, detailed information, a working jukebox and a special treat - bumping into a former classmate of Roy Orbison. (two music lovers from England)
