Windy but very pleasant walk across the dam . Easy stroll with lots of families and pets. A little less than a mile each way.

Coming upon this earthen dam, one is stunned by its magnitude. It towers over the roadway, and many folk use the rim for walking and jogging. If in the area, it is a worthwhile visit.

For a drizzling,cold Texas day the walk from the parking lot to dam was shielding my trees. Restrooms and picnic bench seating, this park is a good pit stop.

Great views and a nice place to walk on an overcast day. You’d be pretty exposed in the sun and probably not where you want to be mid afternoon on a hot day.

Well worth the stop off if you are in the area, the view of the lake and hillsides is breathtaking. The dam top is just short of a mile long. A small parking lot, with a number of walking trails in the area,

Beautiful place for an early morning of late afternoon walk. Beautiful lake. Can be a little hot in the middle of the day.

Lots of parking and a great place to see the lake and walk along the top of the dam. Lots of people run or walk their dog there too. We even spoke to a woman who does her daily swim there but said the water...More

This was our first time to Canyon Lake dam and it was beautiful my husband and I took a walk along the full side of the dam and it was incredible. We saw several people walk along the dam then afterwards enjoy a picnic lunch...More
