A FAMILY-FRIENDLY SHOW, where fictional characters bring to life the stories, struggles and triumphs of the Texas Panhandle's early 1800 settlers on stage of the Pioneer Amphitheater; located deep in the heart of the beautiful Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Song and dance abound mixed in with some good ol’ Texas humor, spellbinding lighting, special fire and water effects, and the world famous Dancing Waters of TEXAS and firework finale' make TEXAS a must see!

I'm really not into musicals all that much but I really enjoyed this show. They made good use of the side stages as well as the main stage. The lighting and sound were excellent as well. I won't give any spoilers but the show is...More

I'm enclosing 2 pictures of the different seats available at the Texas Outdoor Musical. I'm a large person, and thankfully had seen reviews that stated the regular seats are very narrow - and they are (the ones with the arms). So, in my preparation, I...More

Ive been coming to Texas since I was a small child in the early 80's. While the show has changed some it's mostly for the better. Love the additions of the horses and mule. Song and dance are still great. I wish they would turn...More

Play is amazing! The Texas production has been going strong for over 50 years. The young men and women work very hard. The props, music, sound effects, and the fireworks is a site to see. Very patriotic!! Highly recommend

Wow, what a show! The singing and the dancing were great, the canyon backdrop was breathtaking, and the fireworks/water show at the end was awesome. Worth every penny.

Loved seeing the Canyon and the backdrop for the stage as the canyon was great. 52 year of this play. Fun evening and entertaining show. Scenery is awesome. The salute to the armed forces at the end is very well done as well. Recommend

Family friendly, casual. It can get cool in the evening so a sweater or shawl would be wise to carry. Avoid big hats, people will be sitting behind you and want to see the show. However, I think the 19th was their last show... More
