Went here for spring break 2018. Nice park but campground does not have full hookups. They do have a store/shop inside the park which was helpful when we forgot our utensils. We found us a park table and had our picnic. The public restrooms need...More

We had a great experience camping this weekend. We had 4 families with 7 children ranging from 2-10 years. Nice facilities, well-maintained park and great general store. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the park. Many more trips in our future.

It was Hot! Over 100 degrees hot. But we hiked the trail to the scenic overlook anyway. It was worth it. Then we went swimming in the lake, which really cooled us off. There is a small general store, bathrooms, picnic areas, and campsites in...More

Possum Kingdom is a gem of a camping destination. Initially we booked a spot in the premium section, but as soon as we saw it, we wanted to change. Fortunately for us, they had openings in one of the "water only" sections, and for $10,...More

From what I could tell, all the improved camping was pretty exposed to the sun and wind. However, it was a pretty lake so you'll probably be fine, if not a little warm.
