Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After trying to find a leafy sea dragon without a guide in 2022, we returned, this time with the services of Lachlen - dive guide at Diving Adelaide. Best money spent, he knew exactly the spot where a current breeding pair of leafy sea dragons reside. There is was also a third dragon we spotted. Lachlen was safe with his assessment of when to turn back, but took on board our ability and air consumption, so we could get the most possible from our 4 dives. His navigation of the jetty is on point and he is easy to chat to on the drive to and from. All in all a great experience - thanks Lachlan and Diving Adelaide.

The dive trip to see the leafy sea dragons was worth every cent I spent with Diving Adelaide! After initially telling me they couldn’t accommodate me on the one day I could do the dive, they got back to me and said they could work it out. The amazing Emma was my dive guide. She equipped me the day before the dive, helped advise me on purchases I wanted to make, and then was an amazing guide once at Rapid Bay and looking for the “leafies “! Although there is no guarantee, she found 6 as well as 2 nudibranchs and a squid. She also went above and beyond by helping me get the wet suit over my shoulders during removal. She helped me check off a 35 year old bucket list item, and it was truly worth the wait! Thanks, Emma and Diving Adelaide!

A dream come true! Aaron took me to Rapid Bay to have close encounters with the Leafy Sea Dragon (well, not super close, you do have to give them their space). It was a thrill beyond words to see these amazing creatures in their natural habitat.

Aaron was super accommodating for this 57 year old lady. He has a great sense of humor and kept our 1.5 hour drive there and back over 2 days full of laughs and stories.

Can't wait to do it again!

I did a 2 dive private tour at Rapid bay jetty. My dive guide / Instructor was Chris and if he couldn't find Leafy Sea dragon's then no one can, he was excellent, very thorough and never gave up looking for stuff to show me. The tour included a 3 hr round trip drive to the dive site and all the equipment. We were very lucky and saw 8 dragons, 4 or 5 cuttlefish, a blue ringed octopus, 2 nudibranchs and a frog fish.
I highly recommend these guys.. You do need to bring your own food and drink though. Some complimentary water would have been good.

I went to Diving Adelaide to help me learn how to to dive and I was absolutely blown away by the instructor I had. Bee was the perfect instructor he made the information easy to digest while also making sure we knew how to do everything properly and safely, I always felt confident while in the water with him and trusted him to know what to do.

I fully and wholeheartedly recommend Diving Adelaide to teach you how to dive especially if your instructor is as good as Bee was.

Great experience! I did the PADI Open Water Diver course. Courtney was fantastic at answering all my questions when I was booking the course and provided very thorough information. Emily and Emma were my instructors and they were both professional, knowledgeable, and supportive. They also made diving a FUN activity. Thank you!!!

I have been researching for a while to obtain my PADI open water certification.
After spending some time with Diving Adelaide I felt confident this was the right training organisation to do this.
Over the week of 5.1.21 to 10.1.21 I was able to do so with Diving Adelaide.
My instructor was Chun Bee. He was absolutely fantastic and due to his teaching style I was confident reassured throughout all of the training. With a mixed age group he was able to explain and keep things simple at all times.
If possible request your training with him as he is well trained and will make your experience completely positive. I noticed he could communicate in various languages also which I was impressed with.
As for the store side of thing I met Gerry who was also amazing. He helped me select the right gear without a pushy upsell. It was all about the right gear for me. For training and gear I would highly recommend Diving Adelaide.

We started with emailing Ron from diving Adelaide about 6 months before our dive trip. Always on the ball with answering emails and giving us advice about dive sites.
We ended not using their guide but rented gear and filled cylinders at the dive shop. Ron worked out a favourable long rental price for our group of 5 divers.
The staff were always friendly , very nice shop and had some nice gear for sale as well.
Thank you Ron and team making our dive trip in your area a very memorable trip. You guys really do have some unique critters down under.
