We camped in RV site #71 in Council Bluff from August 2nd-August 5th. The site was ok. The rv pad is very narrow and uneven, but still manageable. I was dissapointed to find trash around our site. The fire pit and grill were not clean....More

Overall if you've been RVing or camping a while you know what to expect from Texas State Parks. If you don't like the outdoors don't come and complain, it's pretty simple. Weekends in the summer and holidays will be crowded. We stayed in our Motorhome...More

Stayed 3 nights in March. Big, open spots in 30/50 amp with water. There are only 20 spots or so with full hookups and they are very close together. Nice, new docks to fish from and park people were very nice. Will be back!!

We stayed here for a week in our fifth wheel RV trailer. We fished, hiked the nature trails, ride around, visited Brownwood...had a great time. It also maintains decent wi-fi signals. It’s now on our ‘favorite’ list!

Personally, I don’t care for the snakes while we were fishing on one of the four docks. My husband say the lake can be tube fished. There are many reeds to navigate. The beach is clear for fishing or tube swimming. Hope... More
