The Blue Bell visitor/history center is somewhat interesting; due to previous production problems, there are no creamery tours; we were told that any tours will not start again until 2017 or 2018; you go to the second floor of the main building to get some ice cream; $1 for generous scoops of oh-so-good ice cream; throw your diet out the... Take an informative tour or just head upstairs to the tasting area. You can sample a multitude of classics and exotic flavors then have a cone or cup. Delicious! Fun items in the adjoining store and don't miss the historical display of local baseball players located on the first floor.

BB is not doing tours yet following the recalls, but it is fun to visit the small museum and separate shop, where you can buy ice cream. Cost is just $1 for a generous cup, and some of the flavors are not sold in stores, making it more fun.

The tour is quick to do and they include a cup of ice cream at the end with admission price. Fairly cheap to do, good day trip.

First of all, l didn't give it a 5 because the tours were no longer available. But, don't let that keep you from visiting BB! The grounds and buildings were clean, neat and inviting. A scoop of ice cream is only $1.00! Can't beat that! Cute gift shop as well!

Really cute photo ops everywhere. Bluebell. Nothing but awesome. Scoops $1!!!! Girl serving had been there 15 years. Cheerful and helpful. Cute short films in the visitor center. Can't go back in the factory anymore because of the listeria thing , but you get a free cool paper hat!!

My wife and I stopped for a quick sweet treat as we passed through on the way to our bed and breakfast. Same delicious ice cream and great service as always. And probably listeria free!

Making a great comeback after some very bad PR. We enjoyed the Welcome room and watching the videos about the history of Blue Bell, "The Texas Ice Cream." Tours through the plant are np longer available, probably due to the contamination that hurt them. Visit the very nice gift shop for that special Blue Bell stuff. Don't let this stop... More

Please don't list Blue Bell Creameries as the #1 attraction in Brenham. For several years the ice cream has been contaminated and Blue Bell plants shut down. They are now selling Blue Bell Ice Cream in Houston grocery stores, but today, Sept. 21, 2016, it was announced on the news that Blue Bell still has listeria contamination in their ice... More
