Was awesome view!! Trail to the falls is rocky, make sure you have good boots! Take plenty of water too. Would definitely return as well as try the other trails.

It's not a bad hike until you get to the end. You can see the falls without going all the way down which is very steep and you have to hold the rails going down or you will slip. Be sure to wear shoes with...More

Great hike ending at the falls where you can sit and cool off for a while. Not in the water though as that is prohibited. Take the tie trail on the way back for a scenic overlook.

We went when there had been a lot of recent rain so it was flowing very well. It would appear the falls does not get a lot of sun because it was very lush, compared to the surrounding scenery. The trail does not have that...More

This place is very peaceful, I went to take some pictures and I was surprised for the environment. The trail is easy to follow, but please watch your steps when you get closer to the falls. For sure I will visit it again.

We have been wanting to hike the falls for a while now. It was cold and misty and the climb was challenging, but it was so worth it. Glad we took the time and effort to see such natural beauty.

The trail is really rouge (I spend more time looking at the path trying to avoid rocks than looking at the scenery). Very open so hot. The decent at the end is difficult (you are going down a rock face holding onto a railing). We...More

We met some people a couple months ago that had been to the falls. I was shocked to find out that they were so close to home. Staring at the trickles of water flowing over the moss covered travertine, you can almost feel transported to...More

I wish we could have gotten closer. The view was pretty limited unless you wanted to get in the water, so bring a swimsuit or a spare change of clothes.

I hope Gorman Falls can always be protected because it is truly a Texas Treasure! All the moss and ferns growing on the side of the hill where the water drops is truly amazing! I just love Gorman Falls!!! I hope to go back after...More

My 3 grandchildren went, the youngest being 10 years of age. The trail is rocky and the cable hold was only a small area. I was the Grandma trailing behind my adult children and grandchildren!

Hello, we are going to the tour this Saturday. Are there any good places for horseback riding closeby? Also, what is the best place to sleep that is good near the park?

It is about 3 &1/2 to 4 hour drive to Gorman Falls, located in Colorado Bend State Park (CBSP). CBSP offers camping, hiking and there are cave tours within the park. Texas offers some very beautiful parks between San Antonio... More
