Some folks from around here don't even know it is here! we love to surprise new folks and take them to dinner on one side or the other and hop on the ferry as a lil FREE perk!

Great chance to see one of the world's busiest waterways close up. Right at the convergence of Houston Ship Channel and San Jacinto River. Expect delays for passing ships and barges (part of the fun) and don't go at shift change.

Just a short ride, and lots of fun for adults and kids alike. Just a short drive to the San Jacinto battlefield and Battleship Texas.

The ride across the ship channel can take from 15 minutes to 25 minutes, due to any ships coming or going. The ferry has to wait on all ships traveling. From the Baytown side to the LaPorte side there is a restaurant called The Monument...More

used ferry to visit Battleship Texas it was closer than going around thru Pasadena though not as fast because of timing .

Enjoy the location. Food is great and staff is friendly. Can be a wait on weekends. I enjoy lunch and dinner here.

What great fun using this small free Ferry. Saved me a bunch of time since I-10 was backed up. The Ferry started in 1822!

We were visiting the monument and battleship and my husband noted on the may that we could get to I10 headed to New Orleans quicker if we used the ferry. We were impressed. It is a short ride, actually, and FREE, but just so convenient....More
