We didn't know much about the nature center so we asked at the entrance before paying if there was an education center or things to do in the grounds. The employee wasn't very fluent in English but assured us that there was. Nope! It was...More

I had never been here before despite driving by it hundreds of times. I went here to jog and was pleasantly surprised. There and several miles of trails that are near the water. You’ll see lots of birds, rabbits and squirrels. I only saw 2...More

A park that is free if you have a Baytown address. I highly recommend going to this place and if you learn the background story you’ll appreciate even more.

It's pretty and super relaxing to hang out or fish. Not a lot of people during the weekday but on the weekend it does get full.

Easy hikes. Clean trails. I like that it is not far from home. There are days when visiting is free but I do not remember when that is.

I remember this area when the remnants of the homes destroyed by Hurricane Alicia still dotted the streets. Now the dilapidated homes have been replaced with picturesque views of the flora and fauna of the Galveston Bay system. One can spot a variety of birds...More

This is an excellent place to get away from it all and get back in touch with nature. There are trails along the water to spot many types of birds and wildlife.

I absolutely LOVED this place. It's cheap - $4 to get in CASH ONLY. I saw a wide variety of fowl including song birds, pelicans, red-tailed hawk, killdeer, rosette spoonbills, various egrets & herons and osprey. I will definitely be returning to this park.
