Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went to Nethercote Falls .....well almost.
Off the main road you cone to a dirt section followed by a 3 way fork in the road. Take the CENTRE road. You can see the sign “Link Road” on the left just as you enter it (hiding behind bushes).
Go about 500m to the carpark.
The road is fine for 2 wheel drive vehicles in dry weather but is NOT SUITABLE for 2 wheel drives during wet weather (too tough and slippery).
Once you get to the car park you’ll have to walk. You’ll need good solid walking shoes. It is a very steep loose dirt road for about 600m. If you’re not fit, don’t attempt this. It is very steep. Only for the young ones I think. Absolutely don’t attempt this in wet weather...the road down will be dangerously slippery.
Don’t attempt this on a dirt bike either. Too many ruts and culverts and very loose steep surface.
If you want a nice country drive, continue on the Nethercoate road to Eden. Beautiful drive.

Epic waterfall, unlike any we had seen. The entry track was very manageable for our little van.
From the car park you take the path down to the right, past the Nethercote Falls Flora Reserve sign.
When we visited, the steep road was under construction, however we had no issues ducking through and making it across the river bed where the track begins again. There are some really fun jumping spots and the water was refreshing.
We would definitely recommend to anyone up for a little walk to enjoy this awesome secluded spot.

Hi all,
Myself and 2 other adults and a 10, 8, 3 yo visited Nethercote Falls in November 2013.
The falls were signposted at the intersection of Back Creek Rd/Pipe Clay Rd. It took about 15 mins from Eden and about 10 mins from Pambula. when heading down the road, you arrive at a set of picnic tables and are advised that the next section is steep and only for 4WD in wet. This section goes for about ~300m.
When you park your car its a 10 minute walk to the falls. The path is natural but fine. The falls had plenty of water going over them, so were great. The water was very cold. other walkers coming in had wetsuits to use.
Its very pretty and there is a picnic table there as well.
Signs do advise of undercurrents in the water.....so swimming is done at your own risk. Kids should be well supervised. Youtube videos show people jumping off the rocks, but obviously check for submerged items before doing this.
Its a great place to visit, swim, enjoy the atmosphere and if keen explore the falls higher up.

It is not signposted . Maps take you to different routes one on Kiaka Road
The other route off Pipeclay Road. Both of these routes are closed
On checking online it says Rosds got damaged in a storm not been repaired
Check with Bega Shire Council before driving out

It is a bit of a walk, but worth it. It's protected so also good on windy days. Not much water in the falls when we visited, but it was enough. Beautiful water to swim in, nature, and gorgeous environment. We come here every year we holiday in Pambula. Make sure you copy down instructions as you will likely lose mobile phone coverage getting there. The caravan park may have a map as well.

Secret swimming spot in Eden. Was told about this place by a fellow camper. 660m descent by foot and a bit hellish hiking back, but worth it to swim in this little piece of paradise.

The road into the falls is missing it's signposts so you're not sure where to go. Take the middle dirt road on the way in. (There's three to choose from) Car park is at the top and a very steep walk down to the falls. Well worth the walk down and back, it's simply beautiful.

Nethercote falls is a lovely spot, the spot is a little off the beaten track (road wise) but not far from civilisation. A picnic area at the road junction leads to a very steep road down to quite limited parking. You can walk this additional distance. From the bottom car park, a relatively short walk - maybe 1 km each way but some parts a little steep and the track not well maintained. You need to step on rocks/shallow water to cross the river so make sure you wear quick to dry or waterproof shoes. The trek leads to a stunning waterfall and swimming hole with small picnic area. Make sure you take water and a snack with you.
There is only one catch with this place - the Forestry Commission has decided it will be blocking the road about Sept 2015 from the top picnic area (Nethercote Falls Link Rd) and intends to block both vehicle and pedestrian access.

Oh wow what a hidden gem in our little Shire. It is only a short walk to the swimming hole and falls. You can if you are game climb up the top to the pools above the falls, but this place is fabulous. Take a picnic lunch, bottle of wine, but take your rubbish with you when you go. Pristine water to swim in, lots of shade. Spend a day if you like. Great place on a hot day.

Hi Sammi,
Thanks for your review of Nethercote Falls. We go there every year so it's good to know the road is being repaired. We are planning to visit next week & I just wanted to clarify if the access has changed. We have always walked down that steep road from the car park, crossed straight over the river & then the track winds it's way to the left. It's difficult to describe in words but does that sound more or less the way you went?
Thanks, Andrea

It's difficult to know. I'd call the local bakery and even the newsagent to ask ahead. Sounds crazy but....
Don't see why it should be - we were there in January. No issues.
