I was on this ranch in August during our vacation in Texas. Reading the reviews very positive led me to decide to spend two nights with their family and friends Considering that we come from Italy and our expectations were very high, but arriving at...More

It's the oldest dude ranch in Texas, and you really feel like you've walked back in time. Great staff, great food (best fried chicken in town!), great wranglers and some nice Hill Country hills to ride horseback in. Highly recommended.

This is a very special place. We were touring Texas and only had 2 nights here but I could have spent a week easily. (Or applied for a job!). The wifi is limited but this is a wonderful way to get your teens talking to...More

The Dixie Dude Ranch is perfect for families with children, they have easy-going horses and gentle rides. We loved the rustic cabin with its bunk beds and porch swing. There was also a pool and a hot tub! There's lots of things for the children...More

We stayed for 3 nights in September 2015. Nice clean and comfortable cabbins (stayed in Jangle), great pool area, wonderful staff, lovely food, fantastic horses and scenic trails. You also get close to the other guests, as meals are at long tables in main house....More

Nothing like riding in the Texas hills, enjoying the trails, and staying for a brisket lunch. Overnight possibilities as well.

If you love good home cooked meals, quiet country life, and horseback riding then you need to spend considerable time at Dixie Dude Ranch. It's a blast from the past with Wifi only in the lodge, truly refreshing. It is clean, neat and comfortable. Cute...More

The people were very friendly and helpful. The horseback riding was awesome and the trails short or long, and very scenic. I also went hiking the alien rock loop but got lost on the way back after passing the "6666" trail sign and passing through...More

The people here are really nice so it pains me to have to write this but the overall experience was quite poor. The price is extremely expensive for what you get - mediocre accomodations, a lackluster trailride with very very lax security (i.e. no helmets...More

I was there with my wife. However we met other people who were single. We had a very enjoyable time. Meals are in a communal dining room and you get a chance to mix. The wrangler Joe was very friendly and everyone rides... More
