So nice to take a leisurely drive on this winding and scenic two-lane kind of back road. Surprised to see all the leftover fall color in November

Perfect peaceful drive in the fall - spring is beautiful, too, but we prefer fall for the colors. Absolutely love this area.

The views of the foothills parkway are truly amazing. We took my two-year-old and stopped along the way at all of the outlooks. She had as good of a time as we did. This should definitely be on everyone’s list for a scenic East Tennessee...More

Although not quite completed, it is worth the drive. Gorgeous vistas from the parkway that has lots of pull-offs to get photos of the beautiful mountains & valleys along the route. Can't wait to drive it when it is complete!!

Took the parkway today. Nice easy drive, there are tons of pull offs and overlooks and some amazing views and beautiful wildlife. Had a great time.

We missed visiting the parkway during the day, and at the last minute decided to drive it at night. It did not disappoint!!! It was beautiful looking down at the city lights! One of the highlights of our trip!

Drive through the Foothills Parkway during the snow, in December! Absolutely beautiful! My husband and I always enjoy this drive, no matter the season!

Great driving activity. Stops all along the Parkway so you can take pictures. Hiking trails conveniently marked. Enjoyed the sunrise from the top of the Parkway.

We really enjoyed this drive. The views of the mountains are amazing and if you are interested in geology (like me), you will have plenty of roadcuts that provided great examples of different formations.

There are a few motels in Townsend, TN, which is just minutes from the Parkway and minutes from the entrance to the National Park. We can also highly recommend renting a cabin with Dogwood Cabins in Townsend!
