We went here the other day while on vacation in the Paris Landing area. The place is free and a must see for sure. Lots to see here, great videos and all, live cam views and trails to walk on and so forth. Nice little gift shop too. Thought that the "airplane flight" and everything there was really cool and very informative...even if you are not that much into wildlife and ducks and such...its still a very cool visit. Very friendly staff, top notch in fact. This is just a really nice place. Off the beaten path a bit but very much worth the drive!!

Amazing!

Must stop!! Spent over two hours here without even noticing. The volunteer who worked at the desk made sure we saw every awesome thing this visitor center has to offer. Also right now is a great time to go (June) because they have an Osprey nest out the back door and she has babies! It was so fun to watch her through the telescope they have set up indoors (avoid the heat!) as she fanned her babies and protected them from the heat. We learned so much about this place and about water fowl. Will bring folks back here for sure. THANK YOU!

Awesome Visitor Headquarters Center!
Mar. 2017 • Couples
My wife and I got to stop here this March and enjoyed the nice weather and the beauty of the refuge. This NWR is located in north western Tennessee near the town of Springville. It was created as an area for migratory birds. We very much enjoyed the hiking trails and utilized the observation decks for some of our photo opportunities. We were able to spot many kinds of small animals and birds. We thoroughly enjoyed the new visitor interpretation center and chatting with the Friends of the refuge and staff. This refuge includes many other opportunities for visitors to utilize like the fishing, hunting and great photo opportunities. Come and bring your family (especially children), binoculars, camera, and enjoy what this area of Tennessee has to offer. This is a wonderful place to see the beauty of the outdoors and a must stop on your visit list.
