Granddaughters first cavern trip. She really was amazed. Unfortunately, my husband's became ill and we hooked up with group exiting and was unable to see all of cavern.

We had a great time with 3 girls (ages 4-11) and one senior. Be ready to walk and bring a sweater...it gets chilly. Nice drive out to the cavern. No access to the cave without walking not strenuous!!

If you want to cool down and visit a unique cavern, here is your spot. That being said, DO NOT bring young children. Trying to listen to a tour guide with loud children who absolutely can not touch anything (for good reason) is not something you will want to do. The whole tour will take between 45 to an hour.... This was an impromptu stop on our vacation after seeing an ad. It's very informative and an interesting history lesson. Nice steady paced tour takes about an hour. You will really enjoy the sights. The tour guides building could use some updating as its worn down a long with the pathway down to the cave.

The whole family - ages 8 to 40 - enjoyed this underground adventure. It was great to escape the heat and head below the surface to a constant 58 degrees. We brought jackets but didn't need them. All of our non-flash pictures came out great. Their lighting really creates awesome pictures. The souvenir shop is cute with lots of funny... More

We had a great time at the forbidden caverns. The lake beneath the surface was awesome! The people were overly polite. Be prepared to leave a tip for your guide!

This is a great way to beat the heat and learn a few things. We brought a light coat, but the 58 degrees really didn't feel that cold. You should combine this with the Trout Farm which is very close.

This was very cool and interesting! I love how they talk about the history and the past with the indians, moonshiners etc. staying in the caves. I could not imagine what it would really be like back in the when they had to use torches and fire to light they way so far down in the caverns. My favorite part... More

What a great adventure for adults and children. Learning about caves & formations great when it's hot outside, it's cool inside.
