I brought my kids (12 and 14) to this park for our first hiking adventure together and a full pack practice hike for me. First things first. Get there early. We arrived near 11 and were lucky to find a spot. I failed to do my research before coming out, so we weren't familiar with the park and were able... More

Been to this park 3 times now. Camped in our rv in April of 2016, and visited again in December. Hiking is fun and beautiful, has 2 suspension bridges too! They have an awesome general store and outfitters store. I'm not sure of the hours they were not open when we were there in December, which was disappointing! We made... More

We hiked all the way down to the base of the waterfall and it was just an amazing experience. Everything is so beautiful. Totally worth it

Thought we would try a state park in TN and since they are close we went by. This is a beautiful park. The gold course is considered one of the best public courses in TN and the camp sites are large and level. Many have water, sewer and electric hookups. They also have beautiful cabins on the water and in... More

Thanksgiving day we went to the Park for the first time ever. We checked in at the Inn, dropped off our bag in the room and headed for the restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. The line at the restaurant was pretty long (around 12:30pm)...but the line moved pretty quick and by 1 we were enjoying a terrific buffet! The staff were... More

We stayed 4 days at the campground and enjoyed the peacefulness. Although they are under a fire ban, people would still build a campfire late at night. I guess they thought they were above the law. Bath House 3 needed updating. It had tiles off the shower walls & it had a musty mildew odor. The food was good at... More

Visited here mostly to see the changing leaves but the falls, lake and other areas were also nice. The park is large and many roads to drive around on and enjoy the beauty. Plenty places for a picnic and other activities as well.

There has been a major drought this year, but the water fall and leaves were still gorgeous! The hike wasn't too strenuous, it took us about 40 minutes I think to get to the falls from the nature center

We go every October for a family getaway. The park is beautiful, lots of wildlife, spectacular fall colors, generally very comfortable weather. We rent a 3 bdrm villa right on the lake that allows the grand-kids to fish from the deck - there is an unsubstantiated rumor there are actually fish in the lake but we haven't caught any. Probably... More
