Come Ride the Hill and Feel the Thrill! The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is the longest downhill ride in the United States, with over 1 mile of track. So if you are looking for an unforgettable experience on your vacation here in the Great Smoky Mountains, this is a must do! The vehicles are designed to carry two visitors in comfort but can be handled easily by one alone. The riders are in control of the velocity (up to 27 mph) and this gives them a unique hands-on experience! Rain, snow or sunshine, no problem - the excellent braking effect is unchanged so you can ride year-round! Tickets and packages are now available, age restrictions may apply, parents may need to ride with small children. Our track has thousands of colored LED lights so you can experience our awesome Night Rides! The great "Über Ride" is HERE!

It's a nice cool ride thru the trees but not really anything spectacular. You control speed coming down. When it ended and got off didn't feel it was anything special

Enjoyed the coaster very much. Wish it was longer, but they are never long enough. Got admission for two on a Groupon, so it was just over $20 for both of us. Would definitely recommend. You can also ride again the same day for a...More

We purchased advanced tickets to avoid the line. The ride up takes about 5 minutes but coming down is much faster. It was fun and gets the adrenaline pumping. The cost is $15 per adult and $8 for a child. Child must be 56 inches...More

I bought a groupon that was well received by the attendant. The ride was so fun but be sure to go at night or at dusk because it has lights on the track.

We were skeptical of how fun this ride would be with our kids 10, 9, 6, 3, we are so glad we tried it, everyone young and old had so much fun. We ended up riding twice in the a.m and then going back that...More

I am NOT a thrill ride kind of person and I liked this attraction! Use the groupon to get the best deal. Also don't forget to enjoy the view on the way down!

This was our first time riding the coaster and it's on our to do list every visit now. My 5 year old was a little scared to begin with but once he learned we could control our speed he really enjoyed it.

Lines not bad. Price fair. Really enjoyed the quiet solitary ride up the mountain & thru the woods. Then. The ride down was great. Nothing scary. You control the breaks so you can slow down if your nervous. But, it's fun to just let it...More

No big hills exempt for the initial lift up. Once at the top it's a winding ride down. There are hand brakes that you operate so you go as fast or slow as you want to. It's worth it to ride if going with a family.
