- Norma SAtlanta, Georgia272 contributionsExcellent Performances For AllThe show itself was excellent with many talented horse riders and performers. We thoroughly enjoyed every part and there is truly something for everyone. There was some audience participation including kids chasing chickens. There were also miniature horses and pigs racing. So much fun! The dinner was ok but not thrilled with the food. Everyone got a cornish hen which was gross to me and way too much for one person. They need to change that part! We were also served pulled pork, roasted diced potatoes, corn on a cob and a hot apple turnover. The dessert was delicious. Our server was very attentive and made sure to fill our glasses 4 times! At the end we were given large hot wet hand wipes which was a thoughtful gesture.Hi Norma, thanks for the great review. Not sure I like the chicken, coated with a lot of spice. Loved the creativity of the performers. Colorful costumes and lots of horses!Hi there! Thanks for the great review! - KKAustin279 contributionsNow that I've seen it, I don't need to go againThe performers here are incredibly talented and they do put on a good show. And clearly the venue has their system down to get you in and spend your money. The dinner itself was ok, I thought the chicken was good. Everything else was kind of bland but that's what you get when you make it for the masses. The horses and animals are very impressive and they sure do a good job reminding everyone how awesome America is. I doubt I'd ever go back but I'm glad I went once.Hi Austin! - Ruth F6 contributionsGreat way to spend an afternoon! My sisters and 90-year-old Dad went to the the Sunday matinee and a great time. The venue is designed such that everyone has a good seat! The show had its corny moments, but that was part of the fun! The food was plentiful and tasty. We all good doggy bags and had enough left overs for dinner the following night!Hi there! Padded bench style seats around the arena, you’ll either be sitting on the north side or south sideWe’ve visited numerous times for the show & dinner. We could see the whole arena. Our server was fantastic, making sure our drinks were filled. The show was very entertaining with crowd participation. The food was fantastic especially the potato soup. We arrived early to purchase a souvenir cup and watch and listen to the entertainment. This was an excellent show and highly recommended.Howdy! - KASDKSHanover, Pennsylvania209 contributionsA great dinner show in Pigeon ForgeThis was our first time visiting Dolly’s Stampede and we would definitely come back again. The pre-show performers in the bar area were great and the main show was excellent as well! Our server for the show, Jenna, was very friendly and welcoming and her service was top notch. She had quite a few guests to serve, but she hustled and kept everyone’s drinks filled throughout the show…all while serving multiple courses. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious and kept on coming throughout the entire show. Take home bags were provided for any leftovers if you wanted one. A very entertaining evening all around!Howdy, Thanks for your great review! We didn’t enjoy this at all! Bought tickets online, in the information it said to arrive at 4:45 for the 6:00 show, there was a preshow in the saloon at 5:15. We arrived at the earlier time, it was a Wednesday and not very busy. The first thing they do is force you to get pictures that they later find you and try to sell them to you. Then you go into the saloon which was hard to hear the performers and sold sodas and popcorn for about 5 bucks each. Even though you’re supposed to have a 4 course meal with included drinks at 6. When it’s time to go into the arena everyone has to go from the saloon to the arena in a herd fashion. When you enter the arena the barn animal smell is overwhelming. The seating style is just long benches with about 18 inches, the size of your placemat to sit. This is a predicament when the people next to you repeatedly elbow you or lean on you. It becomes even more ridiculous when the food is served. Eating elbow to elbow with strangers in a room that smells like a barn has never been my idea of fun. The food is mediocre not delicious as advertised and shows it’s more important to serve quantities of bland lukewarm food than to actually serve anything quality. We found the show more sad and insulting to native Americans than entertaining. Ultimately we just left after about the 10th elbow to my side without an apology and being offended by the show. Leaving early was the best part of the show.

Will try not be a redundant but the whole experience needs to be totally revamped due to horrible food, low grade quality show, lack of respect for Indians among other things
Food was average at bet with the standard overcooked chicken, horrible vegetable soup, a bland potato slice, and crappy apple turnover (or whatever it was supposed to be). The soup was so bad that when I looked around it seemed like only a couple of people actually ate theirs. Regarding the bland potato slice, so little effort was spent on slicing a potato and adding no seasoning.
The show itself seems dated and could use a refresh. The animals were really cool to see and think everyone enjoyed this part of the show. I get it, it is supposed to be some kind of "Hee Haw" and it accomplished its aim.
I would recommend removing the Indian segment as it was not educational and was almost offensive in its presentation. Having some dude jump around and act like it was representing Native Americans was offensive and degrading to the people watching it.
For the $300 we spent for a family of four, there are much better ways to spend your money and time.

This was very underwhelming to say the least. First it was a battle for me to even obtain 2 tickets because my original night selected was canceled due to low ticket sales. I had to make 2 trips to the box office and several phone calls to get things sorted out. Once that was settled we ended up with Saturday night 8:30 pm show tickets. We were corralled like cattle into a tiny little pre show holding area which was all roped off to no access to anything. I was told back in the day you could sit on bar stools and watch live bands. That they had saloon girls and guys who painted faces and passed out vests and boas. That is no more. Once we finally got seated at our long trough style table we were definitely elbow to elbow. I was on an end and thankful for that. We chose the South side of the arena to sit on. We were in the 3rd row and very close to where the riders came out from “backstage” but everything was performed on the opposite end of the where the North and South sides came together. Performers backs were to us almost the whole time. The food was just mediocre nothing bad nothing great. We actually got up and left before dessert. If you have ever been to a real rodeo you have seen everything they do at this show and it probably didn’t cost you $60 a ticket. I would pass if this is on your list of things to do.

I’m a guy who’s been to many a theater and dinner show so I’ve seen a lot. I’ve been to a dinner show for “Singing in the Rain”, “The Lion King” on Broadway, and a Christmas spectacular music show. Dolly Parton’s Stampede was one of the funnest shows I’ve been to.
I preordered my tickets so when we arrived we were made to take a picture which cost $35 for a three pack - so that was pretty lame. From there we went on to the actual show. Waited in a staircase for about twenty minutes before hundreds of folks were packed into the huge arena. There’s more than enough elbow room, though!
The dinner was phenomenal and served in courses throughout the show at a very speedy pace! The first course was a biscuit and creamy vegetable soup, which reminded me of corn chowder with the cream and taste. Very hot and tasty! Then we were served a rotisserie-style Cornish hen, half an herb baked potato, a quarter of a corn cob, and pork (which I did not eat because I’m Jewish). The chicken literally fell off the bone and the skin was perfectly basted with their signature spices and sauce. The potato and corn were tender and fulfilling! As for the dessert, I did not eat it because I was allergic but it was a rather large apple turnover. Our server Erica was amazing and bustin her butt to ensure we had a great experience.
The show was the perfect mix of comedy, stunts, family-fun, music, and good ol’ American patriotism! I’m a comedy person so Skeeter, the barn hand, was my favourite! Though it is Civil War themed, there no actual history lessons acossoated with the show which was a little disappointing. Also, for some reason the South was blue and the North was red which is backwards colours!
I saw a lot of complaints prior to the show about greasy food, lack of silverware for the soup, and vendors pressuring people to purchase flags. First of all, the soup is served in a French onion crock. It has a damn handle to hold it with! It ain’t gonna burn you if you’re being smart. The food was not greasy when I went. The chicken had normal grease for a meat product and everything else was not even close to being overly oily. I was also only asked once to buy a flag and picture and after I declined I was left alone.
Overall, fantastic experience at the Pigeon Forge, TN location! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun dinner experience. Also, there’s coupon books all over the place and you can save $3 a ticket for up to 6 people if you pick one up.

We were very disappointed this visit. The first two times we went years ago and had a great time. This visit years later was poor. We had to get up twice to track a server down to request something to drink to be told by 4 different servers that they would find our server. Not one would give us a drink. Everyone in the building were poured drinks and they were on to pouring the soup. Still no server and no drinks. I looked at Taylor the young blonde server and asked her for a drink as she was pouring my neighbor a drink, she said ill get your server again and put the jug back under neath me. It set the mood for a bad expierence from the start. Finally one of the girls that I asked previously for a drink and she told me she would get my server ended up being our server 20 minutes later as people were getting their soup. We bought pop corn which made us thirsty. Good luck getting served if you set in seats D5. The show was ok but the price wasn't worth 189.00 for 2 adults and a 7 year old. Finally at the end of the show on 6/12/21 I asked again for a refill on my drink and our server asked Taylor if she could please get it for me; you would think it took so much for poor Taylor to do this for her. Taylor was rude and our server and Taylor couldn't figure out who was suppose to wait on us. Then they want a tip, seriously? Here is a tip- get another job if you don't like helping others or serving others. Really, did it take that much no matter who's customers they are waiting on to pull that jug out right under neath us and pour it in our cup. Seriously leave it on the table and I will pour my own! Bad service with serving and the price wasn't worth the show is my only complaint. It was a better expierence years ago. I won't be back.

We didn’t know what we were getting into entirely. First of all, it was 142 dollars for 2 people which, monetarily, isn’t a problem but I expected a quality experience for that price. When we entered the building, there was immediately a concession stand. We were confused because we had just paid a lot of money to be here and they were offering food outside of the meal for more money. We were then herded upstairs with probably 300 minutes people to be forced to stand closer than Jesus on easter Sunday for 30 minutes. When we finally entered the arena, it smelled like horse urine. Straight up. When we were being seated we overheard a waiter discussing that the waiters solely work off of tips. For over 60 dollars a person with at least 1000 tickets sold per show, these people have a 1 server:about 40 guest ratio and won’t pay them a livable wage. Thanks dolly. During the show, there was very little to do with the civil war and mostly to do with random singing about the west. They released birds in the arena at one point that could have defecated in the food. And on the food, they DO NOT state what it will be before you go. It’s 1 biscuit, 1 cup of chowder soup, 1 piece of corn without butter, literally 1 half of a potato without butter, a slice of ham, and a Cornish hen. And they have the nerve to hit you with the gift shop on the way out. I would not recommend.

We hit the show tonight. Due to Covid-19 they practice very good protocols and we felt safe. Seating was spaced between families. The service was excellent and the Christmas show was amazing. We all loved the food. Roasted whole game hen, a small piece of pork loin, 1/3 ear of corn, a slice of potato, a biscuit and a bowl cream of vegetable soup. The soup was the best part. Dessert was a apple turnover. That was good. We would do it again. Gratuity is not included in the price and is kind of expected at the end on top of the cost of the showguy and taxes they charge. The show is more of a show of horse riding skills and is entertaining but they had racing pigs, racing ponies, some comedy, singing and chicken chasing.

Last week November 9-16, 2020, we vacationed in the Pigeon Forge area. We went to Dollywood and several other dinner shows. Social distancing, masks and safety seemed to be taken very seriously. On Saturday, November 14, Dolly Parton Stampede didn’t get the same memo. We attended the 6 pm show. We were all jammed into a holding area for at least 30 min. There was a large youth group “Leadership 2020 Summit”. The sponsors let alone most of the kids had mask around the necks not their nose or mouth. From where they were seated for the dinner my guesstimate was about 30 in their group. No one from the staff addressed the issued of putting their masks up in this close holding area. Prior to performance. We were on the end of the bench with about 4 foot from the next person. I said to our server I guess we should stay on the end to social distance. She replied if another group came we would have to move next to the person who now was only 4 feet from me. Do not recommend Dolly’s Stampede if you expect CDC and so called Tennessee pledge to be followed. This is Not a safe place to avoid COVID. All other venues and shows did a fantastic job of practicing procedures to insure they were compliant.

We really enjoyed the show! Both the 5 and 3 year old were engaged the whole time and enjoyed the stunts. The food was good but the show is definitely what made the evening. It was a little pricey but for a one time event it was worth it!

While there were parts of the SHOW that were entertaining, it was in my opinion not worth $60 pp. The dinner was NOT GOOD at all . We felt like pigs in a through. The food is given piece mill. First they pour from a pitcher like warm what they call cream of vegetable soup; more like watered down milk with very very few vegetables. Then they bring a large metal tray and put a biscuit on your plate ( next to the dessert the only other tasty item). Then they come with a deep tray of little roasted baby chicken. After that a slice of a baked potato, then a small, I mean small, slice of pork loin that was dry, cold and had no seasoning what so ever. Then a small piece of previously frozen corn on the cob. Then dessert, a warm apple turnover. Now each server had at least 14 people to serve, it was like a production line. They give you a fork ( mine was so bent up I had to ask for another one), no spoon for the soup, you had to drink it or eat with the dipping of the biscuit, no knife to cut the chicken or pork, and no S&P, had to ask for it! On top of it gratuity was not included and they had a little placard requesting you tip %15 . The seating area was not very clean, they keep it darkened and I used my phone light and saw the stains. All in all an experience but would I ever do it again, a resounding NO. Don’t waste your money.

Why is the website blocked in New Zealand, why are tourist forced to make toll calls or email back and forth to simply enquire and potentially book tickets. It seems ironic that such a tourist reliant location does not allow all tourists to access info
