This attraction has been closed for a little over a year. I did not get to experience it. Some of the engines and stock are still out at the site. Apparently insurance issues got in the way.

It WAS a good train ride through a unique setting. However, it is no longer running due to the local political climate.

We went to ride it but they have ceased offering rides, due to expense of liability insurance as I understand it. Really don't know the whole story, but no more train rides.

Our Grandkids had never been on a real train, and we all found this interesting, with it's dining car and being able to go from car to car on the train. We'd like to do it again some day.

My boyfriend loves trains and while we were in Gatlinburg for the weekend he saw where it was closing down and doing their last ride that very weekend. So we made a trip to Oak Ridge and rode the train. Beautiful scenery. Enjoyed the ride.

This train ride is not very long, maybe half hour, but lots of interesting information about the area, and how important this area was to winning the war. The price is right as well.

Enjoyed the train ride. We were able to see places that we have not seen before. It is really pretty in the fall.

Wonderful ride, narrated by a retired scientist from the facility. The crew was friendly and the cabin and seats clean and comfortable. If you are interested the the old "secret city" this is a nice ride down memory lane... tracks, I mean.
