The best birthday gift! My out of town family watched me tandem jump, ideal conditions and the fall foliage from the sky was amazing. It only took 1.5 from pulling in the parking lot to leaving, we did it on a Friday at noon, Felt safe the entire time, staff very professional and thorough. The staff even explained things to my family that was there to watch. Great time, highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing experience! The team at Skydive East TN is very professional and responsive!
My stepdaughter and I went skydiving in July 2022. We jumped with Andrew and Carter. The manager was very clear about expected wait times (there were 2 jumpers booked ahead of us), and they provided detailed training while we waited for our turn.
The jump instructors were very nice and fun. They explained everything very well, and we had an amazing time!
Free fall doesn't last super long at 10,000 feet, but it's a truly exhilarating experience. Once the chute opens, you get to see some amazing views of East Tennessee.
We'll definitely be back! I highly recommend.

My husband surprised me with skydiving for my birthday something I have always wanted to do. We live in Kentucky, but he knew Eastern Tennessee would have a beautiful view from the sky. We showed up early and they took us right in. I felt very confident after reviewing the video and listening to my instructor Carter give instructions. It was time to suit up and harness up. My husband ordered the video and photo package Carter did an amazing job capturing every moment of my experience. Once in the plane Carter my instructor continuously went over each detail of our jump which made me very comfortable. Carter also made sure to tell me what beautiful sites their was to see from the air. Once we were ready to go he made sure we were secure and made sure I was comfortable. It was time to jump and with it being my first time I didn’t know what to expect. The free fall was my favorite part it literally felt like we was floating. My instructor gave me a tap to let me know I could let my arms out and another tap when it was time to pull the chute. He made sure to face me towards the Smokey MTNS and pointed out the bald eagles below us. At one point my instructor let take control of the chute what an amazing experience. While all this is happening he is documenting my whole experience. If you have the opportunity to skydive you have to check out Skydive East Tennessee. I am definitely going to return for another jump I had such a good experience.

Great experience at Skydive East Tennessee! Booking process was easy. My first attempt the weather did not cooperate but a few days later it was perfect. Rebooking was easy - thank you Ginger! They were very accommodating when I was running late because of a traffic jam. A short informational video and some paperwork and you're off.
I chose to jump in shorts and a tank though jumpsuits are available. I added still pictures to the package but would recommend the video too if it's your first jump.
The tandem jumper was great explaining the process while climbing to the 11,000 ft altitude. Harness is checked several times and any concerns are answered.
It's a very small, personal venue which made the experience even better.
Highly recommend and would definitely do again!

No regrets for choosing this skydiving center for our daughter's 21st birthday and college graduation present. As an old military jumpmaster/master parachutist I was reassured by their attention to detail and dedication to ensuring a safe and fun experience. After our daughter jumped, my wife was so impressed that she let me skydive, too! Not bad for a 64 year old retired Army guy for his first non-static line experience and first jump in 28 years. Worth every penny! Highly recommend these folks, especially Francois, one of their instructors. I also recommend jumping earlier than later in the day before the usual summer storms develop near / above the Smokies. Awesome views of the mountains and nearby reservoirs, BTW!

Everything about Skydive East Tennessee was absolutely wonderful, from the reservation with Alisha to the flying with Francois & Carter. It was the perfect way to start a mini vacay! This is the 2nd time I've dragged my boyfriend to jump with me and I have to say that the crew made our experience extra fun! They were professional, enthusiastic, informational and triple checked all safety precautions.
I just love that exhilarating feeling of flying (especially over the beautiful Smoky Mountains), so thank you, crew, for joining my excitement & taking a few quick pix before heading in the air. The jump was breathtaking and we were able to steer ourselves a bit, which was really cool. Get the video, it's so worth it! You'll be able to re-live that moment & see the beautiful terrain. I have 2 other people who've asked me to jump with them...needless to say, I'll be back, Skydive East Tennessee!!! Thanks again for an awesome experience!! Barbie

Wow what an experience!! Lovely welcoming staff at every step of the process. I felt safe and confident, everyone needs to sky dive at least once in their life. I'll never forget soaring above the Smokey Mountains!

I’ve been wanting to tandem skydive for years but never made time for it. Finally at age 59 I took my first jump. Skydive East Tennessee made it a great experience. The whole staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. A special shout out to my instructor Danny. He clearly laid out what to expect and made me feel completely safe throughout the entire experience. Thanks Skydive East Tennessee for the lifetime memories. I’ll be back!

Bryan, there's an important "tell" in your Tripadvisor post, "...I took my first jump." The "tell" seems to indicate your satisfaction may lead you to making ANOTHER skydive.
The staff at SET strives to deliver an abundance of value to every client for your investment of time and money. Much appreciation for recognizing Danny's efforts to achieve that goal, that is just how he rolls.

My husband and myself visited July 4th (husbands birthday) I’ve never been skydiving before, the staff made me feel so comfortable. They were very welcoming and treated us like family. This was one the the best experiences EVER, the actual dive was AMAZING and the views were spectacular. My guide made sure i was comfortable the entire time. The owners are GREAT ppl, Donna had a boil cooking that was very delicious. They even invited us to stay after yo hang out with them. We will definitely visit again.

Awesome experience, staff was organized, educational and experienced. Safety was not a concern at any point. Booking process was simple. One of the better daredevil experiences I have had. Alicia, Dave and Francois were fantastic and made everything worry free. Awesome views. Probably would book again! Pay the extra money for the picture and video package, that was well done too!

Does anyone have a preference to what time to jump? I was wondering if the views are any better in the morning, midday, or evening.

The lighting for photos and video is better for morning and afternoon jumps. During the summertime high noon puts the sun more directly overhead which will cast shadows on the face of the tandem client and instructor. With the other seasons, the sun's path is not as high compared to the horizon so facial shadows is not much of an issue.

Thank you for your interest in skydiving. The price for a tandem skydive Friday thru Sunday and national holidays is $224.00 per person.
Tandem reservations booked Monday thru Thursday earn a $25 discount, Monday thru Thursday the price is $199.00.
Jumpers must be at least 18 years of age and not over 220 pounds. A photography package with a Video DVD and 40-60 Digital Stills is $100 per tandem.
Tandems are a great introduction into skydiving. The jump gives you the thrill of 120 mph freefall from 12,000' MSL and a 5 to 7 minute canopy flight to an on-target landing in view of your family and friends. Yes our drop zone and nearly every other commercial skydiving center follow policies that require all jumpers to 18 years or older before skydiving.
