So I go there as a 23 year old Italian American. I’m told my ID is not real. I get it it’s not from your state? At least scan it don’t ever look me up and down and tell me that I’m lying to you.. like I wanna be in this packed bar.. they throw me out. Like are u nuts?? And I kid you not.. days the same thing to someone middle aged of a different race they’re racist as f. They had a little (Chinese, Asian, Indian) whatever he wants to be working the door thinking they’re all high and mighty id fix that real quick. Everyone equal and you don’t turn people away. Give them the benefit of the doubt if u don’t believe them and scan it. Not ever foreigner is illegal. Nasty, ungrateful, fire them.

We visited the rooftop bar and stage a couple times while in Nashville. We would grab a drink and find a seat on the rooftop to listen to music. It was steady busy, but we had no trouble with crowds. The music was great. This is a great place to hang out and catch live music if you are in Nashville.

We went into almost every bar on Broadway to check out the vibe during a recent weekend visit to Nashville. THe Stage is one of the original bars (set behind the Ryman auditorium). The music was fantastic and would recommend stopping in here to listen to a set or 2!

I assumed because I had a small dog with me that I would have to enjoy the sites and sounds of Nashville’s Broadway from the sidewalk outside as I strolled.
A kind bouncer at ‘The Stage on Broadway’ invited me in a drink. I explained I had my dog with me and he said they love dogs and they are always welcome inside!
I entered, enjoyed the live music as well as a couple drinks and the kind bartender then gave me a free bottle of water with a plastic dish for my dog to drink water!
Great staff, great bar! I would bring my business back to them the next time in Nashville!

Our favorite bar in Nashville. Every time we visit the city we stop in. Troy Woods band was playing the night we visited and they had a lot of energy (for hours)! We had a great time and experience!

We went to The Stage a couple of times during our few days in Nashville. Just popped in early evening before dinner and then again the next day during the day. It was a lot of fun during the day. At night, it, like all the other music/bars on Broadway, was very crowded. My husband and I preferred all the entertainment better during the day.....way more personal. And this was our favorite place on Broadway.

One star is very generous. Bouncers couldn’t tell you the different between their left and right foot. Said they watch everything carefully but if you showed me a pic of the “security” and Helen Keller, I couldn’t tell you who was who. A crusty old lady told my friends she was going to “wring their neck” because they “invaded her space” in the front row. The crusty woman’s husband then proceeded to rip my friends nose ring out and left hand prints around her neck. Some how we got kicked out but they were let back in. If I could time travel, I would make sure the bars owner was swallowed.

I visited this venue last night with my son (27), it was absolutely rocking but not uncomfortably packed.
The security guys on the entrance door were great, polite, funny & friendly, the bar staff were really nice and helpful, no long waits to get a drink and the band (5 piece) was brilliant.
We really had a good night and this place is definitely worth a visit.

We were at the bar enjoying the music being played by the band having a good time, when something came flying down from the second story & hit my mom in the head. It was a full glass beer bottle that spilled all over the both of us. The bouncer came over to check if she was ok. (Which she was ok, more in shock than anything with now a giant knot on her head) we immediately wanted to leave, but the fact they still made us pay our tab was insane. They gave us one towel to clean ourselves up with. Overall the way they handled the situation was very disappointing.

Huge open bar area tended to lose any atmosphere being created by the very accomplished band on stage. Didn't help that the bar was very empty when we arrived (unlike most of the others). Despite the lack of customers the bar staff were not very welcoming or friendly.

I believe, but cannot be certain, that they have elevators to all floors. I would suggest that you call them to be certain.

No cover charge. Tip buckets at each place. Like Amanda said, this is a great place to bar hop and hear some different music. If you go on a weekend just plan on it being wall to wall people. You could pass out and it would take an hour before you could fall down. During the week it is a little easier to get around, a Tuesday or Wednesday. Also check what else is going on, Titans game, Vandy game etc. Those things can impact the crowd. Have fun!
