Decor/atmosphere/energy was great! You can tell when you walk in you are going to experience something memorable. Went two Fridays in a row with very telling and different results. First night was a large crowd, second not so much: could have been change in summer vacation schedule. However, dance experience was better the second Friday than the first. Instructors actually used the dances they taught down on the floor when the band played. It definitely made it more fun. The first night I ordered three drinks and the whiskey burger and fries at the bar. Bartender was attentive and pleasant, food was good. The second night the bartender allowed others to sit at my space at the bar while I was dancing and my drink held my spot. No tip for him. If anyone deserves tips in that place it is the dance instructors. No one else. I found the bands in Nashville are shamelessly asking for $20 per song request when it is their job and should be their pleasure to play what the crowd wants to hear. The bartenders should give reserved signs for patrons to hold their seats while dancing as that is the main draw to that particular venue. And who wants to dance with a drink in her hand? I did like the bands and music which was played while I was there but I did not tip them. I still deserve to be able to patronize a place and get the same quality experience as everyone else.

We had relatively low expectations coming here, given that it is a well-known spot for line-dancing, not for the food. We ordered fried chicken, a chicken Caesar salad, and a burger. While the food was fine, it took forever to receive it and our waitress was far too busy to check on us. We mentioned the fact that the sprite appeared to be out of syrup and were told that it would be fixed, but it was not by the time we received refills. My advice when visiting here would be to sit in the open section, order an appetizer, enjoy the line-dancing, and eat elsewhere.

It is SO fun to sit and just watch the patrons dancing! People of all ages, from all over the country are dancing together. The instructors on stage do a great job of teaching the steps and leading the crowd. It’s an overall fun time!

Great drink and beer selection, awesome food. We also really enjoyed the live music, line dancing lesson and watching the service staff perform! Our kids didn’t want to leave. We would definitely go again!

Tough to fault. We got in early around midday, were shown to a table, had a few beers and waters and a couple of chicken burgers with all the trimmings …. and I mean all, the portions were enormous. Service was great, the live band - Andrea Guess - were excellent, and there was plenty of opportunity for those who wanted, to learn and practice their line dancing! The atmosphere was the best we’ve experienced on our Deep South city tour, and we loved the entire 3 hours we were there, especially as it cost us less than $60 all in. Great value, fabulous live music, and a lot of fun!

Went 5:30 on a Saturday night. This is ONLY place for all level of line dancers. Easy to hop on dance and follow instructors and staff. Dance floor will get packed with people all ages but later they start kicking kids out. Cover bands are great with new and upcoming talent. Food and bartender MATT was great! Sit at bar up front right for faster service. DJ also right there so you can request songs on breaks. Had the choose 3 meats entree (double sliced beef brisket and shredded pulled pork) with potatoes and greens for sides. Sooooooo good all of it and huge for only $22. Did hit up other places thorough night and liked this best. Rule of thumb get to places no later than 7 to get a seat/table then stay and enjoy. Otherwise you’re standing whole night. Only negative $6 cover is silly especially if eating dinner too.

My wife and I along with our two teenage daughters and 5 year old son enjoyed the line dancing lessons and all thought the food was good! Thankful they had gluten free chicken tenders for my daughter. Lots of people in the place, but it didn’t feel overly crowded (Saturday afternoon) because it is such a large venue. The two musicians performing (Clayton Mann and Paige Rose) were really enjoyable to listen to as we ate. Our waitress (forgot her name but from Sioux City, Iowa) was very pleasant!

This place has been on my bucket list for years. So yesterday afternoon (Wednesday March 4) was our time to finally visit.

Note: this review won’t talk about the music, bands who played, nor how packed the large dance floor was. We realize we came in during the 11:00 am hour, when it wasn’t busy yet.

Anyway, I ordered the bacon n’ blue burger ($16) and my wife, the birthday girl, got the low country crab cakes ($15) and creamed street corn ($6). Our food was excellent!

During lunch, our server asked us if we wanted to take a line dancing lesson. Although we passed, I was glad a nearby family of 4 said yes. Watching from our table, I thought the instructor was really good, and patient. I’m sure she deals with us, non line dancers, regularly.

After lunch, we visited the gift shop to successfully complete our Wildhorse Saloon experience!

We’ve been here several times over several years and always had a positive experience – I can’t say our experience on 7/3 was positive in several ways. We were a group of 12 – ages 16 to mid 50’s – we had already eaten so just wanted to listen to some music and adults have a few drinks. First issue was getting in, we waited in line and started showing ids as requested. When it was my turn I had my 16 and 19 year old kids with me, I let the bouncer know the youngest was 16 since several places had questioned his age – the bouncer quickly informed me he was obviously under age in a snotty tone and pushed us thru. Note he did not look at either kids ids nor mark their hands in any way. One remaining member of our 12 is in her 50’s and did not have her id on her – we had been on Broadway all day and she had not been carded one time. The bouncer made a huge deal of her not having her id saying he shouldn’t let her in since he couldn’t prove she was over 21 – interesting since you just let 2 kids in without any look or mark. So he then proceeds to draw 2 massive x’s on each of her hands and make a big show of the situation. Just made no sense. Once we are in we realize the upstairs is blocked off which is odd since the place is fairly packed. We split into smaller pub tables and folks head off to the one open bar – yes you read that correctly, the 2 side bars were closed and only 2 bartenders at the main bar. 25+ minutes later everyone had drinks aside from the kids because the bartenders refused to pour a straight soda. One bartender was taking customer’s cash and then never offering their change back unless they yelled at her until she would cave in and take a look at them. We understand being short staffed, but the attitudes of the staff made the evening lose its fun. The band playing was amazing so no complaints there. We will probably give this another try in the future but considering we had better experiences in every other place we were in that day and there are so many choices, it definitely won’t be high on the list.

Me and my wife were in Nashville for a getaway. We were bar hopping downtown and went into wild horse for appetizers and drinks we were seated right away. We were passed by several waitresses and servers multiple times after 15 minutes I found someone and said something. She said she would find someone. She came back and said someone would be with us after about another 10 minutes with no one coming we left. The girl I talked to said the girl who sat us did not work there anymore? Every server or waitress totally ignored us, not one looked at us . To many places that are out there to get food and drinks.
