Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I did not enjoy my experience at the chocolaterie. I stopped here on a guided tour and the pack was very busy. We had a guided tasting and the facilitator over shared and made for a very awkward vibe in the group.
Not to mention the chocolates were mediocre at best. I would not recommend.

The place was packed with visitors as it was a public holiday! The chocolates were of poor quality, the nuts we bought were not fresh!
Do not waste your money buying chocolates from this place.

Buyers Beware.
My wife & I took our 6 yr old grand-daughter to this place. Going during school holidays is probably better avoided. We were impressed with the display & variation of chocolates & sweets but were somewhat taken aback about the pricing of them. $13.95 for a trimmed down block of chocolate?? or a jar of confectionary?? Nothing was cheap or even what could be called a reasonable price. Very expensive. We bought a few chocolates but were put off by the exorbitant pricing.
We decided to have lunch in the cafe?? It was also a bit chaotic & really a bit like a Coles Cafeteria. No table service, use your phone. We ordered 3 meals & 2 soft drinks - just under $100!! When the marghita pizza arrived the bottom of it was black (burnt). It was sent back & when the replacement came that too was overdone. It was far short of a decent standard.
Overall an underwhelming experience, very disappointed.

The Chocolaterie is set in the middle of farmland and the drive to get there is interesting in itself. There's a huge parking area - if it's wet a raincoat or umbrella would be useful.
We had a very nice pizza for lunch followed by a macaron - yummy.
The chocolates looked lovely but we still had plenty left from previous purchases. Next time.......

We waited an hour for food that was stone cold. Burger was overcooked and had sat a while it was really dry and I could get better at Maccas. Very disappointed as we enjoyed the last time we visited. Delfina won’t be recommending it to anyone. I know it busy but then it should be catered for.

Pretty famous chocolate retail to serve your various kinds of chocolates with different spics and taste. You can get lots of free chocolates in the entrance gate. Just try them all and see which one you like. My kids and I are served to have the chocolate taste trial in a specific room. The staff is really professional with hospitality to introduce all kinds of chocolates to everyone. Kids really love them even though some are really sweet.
You can see how the chocolates are made since there is a small kitchen inside. Moreover, it is the first time for us to see the cocoa tree. It is not really tall but I can tell how lively it is in this circumstance. You can get lots of useful information about the chocolates in the world too. Lots of kids enjoy their time with parents around this area. You can also enjoy the big volume ice cream before heading to next destination. Good place to spend 1 to 2 hours here. Have fun.

Macadamia cheesecake is so delicious. We were there on a Sunday and it was not too crowded. Beautiful views we hired hop in hop off from Klook app to get there.

Spending the day in the Yarra Valley, first stop was the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie.
Sitting on top of a hill with incredible views, this beautiful building houses the most extensive range of chocolate and chocolate related products I have ever seen.
You can book into a chocolate workshop and tasting, sit and enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate in the Cafe (best hot chocolate I have ever had), watch the team hand making chocolates, or just wander around and be amazed on what the Chocolaterie has to offer.
Highly recommend the truffle box, where you can choose your own mix from the truffle station, ideal gift idea as well.

Hello TripAdvisor community. Can anyone suggest mode of transportation from Melbourne CBD area to Yarra Valley chocolaterie besides driving? Is there a coach service that anyone can recommend?
Thanks in advance!

You didn't get any answers as people whom visit this place are mainly tourists as us local would know better to avoid tourist traps. You can nice chocolates anywhere and everywhere in Melb and there are other chocolateries en route to Philip island etc...
No public transport and it would cost you a fortune using uber..this is quite a rural setting and no one would ride a bus here. Many tours cost $130+ including meals and tours to winery.
If you are a less experienced driver from Singapore, I would not recommend hiring a car and driving to the countryside like Yarra valley ( or even to great Ocean road ) as coming from singapore where only 10 % of pop owns car and who drive on very structured roads at no greater than 80 kph, driving on narrow undivided country roads at 8O or 100 kph is not for those not used to driving in the country (no offence intended here to Singaporeans !).
As i m from Malaysia where we have narrow rural roads like these (often with no visibility ahead cos of terrains/trucks hogging the roads) , no problem for most Malaysian or Thai drivers driving in the countryside on undivided narrow roads
Go take a bus tour but I don t think visiting the chocolateria itself is worth your trip esp vineyards are unlikely of interest to you.
Just google and you get many tour companies coming here

You can try the Hop It mini bus service which can pick you up from Melb CBD or Lilydale train station. You can create your own itinerary as it's designed to be a hop on hop off bus for the Yarra Valley region. For more info, see: w w w hopit. com. au

We were visiting Melbourne and happened to be in the area. You can go through Lilydale using the B300 I think it was.
