Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked a watercolour painting class for 4 of us, most of us has no previous experience, however after only 30 minutes of expert and engaging tutelage we were painting chickens and crowd scenes in vibrant splashes of colour, this is not a paint and palette experience at a winery, it is a serious but really fun way to get some basic skills and enjoyment for the watercolour medium. What an inspiration. Thank you to Charlie and Nancy for hosting.

A great combination of strong watercolours and fine photography in this family family owned gallery. And there are affordable options in the form of prints as well as original work. We had an interesting conversation with the owners as well as the pleasure of browsing the gallery.

This is an impressive gallery in Yackandandah’s main street. The rooms are spacious and the artworks are organised in a easy to view manner. Some of the originals are eye catching and if you have the right space would be a good addition to your private collection. Worth a visit, and definitely no pressure to purchase.
Thanks for your vote.

Shut for renovations BUT no notice on this page. It’s a long trip for a closed Gallery. Fortunately the town of Yackandandah has very good alternative galleries.

Thanks for the review Bruce. I am sorry you made the trip to visit our gallery and that it was shut for renovations. Gallery hours are constantly updated on google and also the gallery website (which is where most people check) and I am afraid I did neglect to update hours on trip advisor (a platform that I don't use much). I am glad you were able to find other things to fill in your time while in Yackandandah. I look forward to welcoming you to the newly renovated Sluga Gallery next time you visit Yackandandah. Regards Charles

We were fortunate to be able to chat with the wife of the atrist who gave us a run down on the work & later chat with the artist. Wonderful gallery, well lit & paintings set out well. His wife is a photographer who also has work on display. A most interesting gallery.

This is one of those galleries that is operated by the artist. Sure, he is talented and has developed his own technique but at the same time his work is slick and expensive. It would serve him well to include in his gallery, some work by other artists.

Dear AVHan1, Thanks for visiting our gallery, but you must have missed the welcome by myself or my wife as you entered. The Sluga Gallery is not a one man show, but a team effort. My wife exhibits photography, does framing and produces prints and I do the paintings. So it is a family gallery and is why we do not have works by other artists. It would not be beneficial to the Sluga Gallery to lose one of our USP's and the unity and harmony of the gallery. We are proud to say that all works are by the Sluga family. I am sorry that the cards, fine art prints, photographs and original paintings were beyond your budget. I hope you still found the experience pleasant and once again, thanks for visiting.

Stepping inside Sluga Gallery is a treat for the senses. Light, airy and so very beautiful. The art work is stunning, crisp, engaging and storied. I was fortunate to meet and chat with Nancy, wife of the artist Charles Slugo. A must visit in Yackandandah, I loved it.
