About
Dal Zotto WinesThe Dal Zotto philosophy begins with what is closest to our hearts – family. From rural life in Italy, to settling in the King Valley, to help pioneer Italian grape varieties. Making Australian wine industry history in 2004 when they released Australia's first Prosecco. Along the way, from the good times at the table to our appetite for discovery in the vineyard and winery, it is ‘la famiglia’ that has brought it all together. We invite you to join us on this journey, pull up a chair at the family table, savour both the tradition and innovation in our wines and share our stories. Cellar DoorA visit to the King Valley is a must for any wine lover looking for inspiration and at our cellar door; we love to welcome and share our wines. Chances are you will meet one of the family and given our nature, you will leave not only with a taste for the King Valley, but also a clear understanding what makes this part of the world so special. We look forward to seeing you soon…TrattoriaFeaturing a menu of, naturally, Italian-inspired seasonal and regional produce, it’s a great place to stop when you’re in King Valley country. From simple antipasto combinations to delicious gnocchi dishes and handmade pasta., family matriarch ‘Nonna Elena’ works overtime in the property’s garden to produce the freshest ingredients for the kitchen. All Dal Zotto wines are available to purchase by the glass at the new trattoria (which is only open on weekends). Members of our La Famiglia Wine Club can use their discount on food at the trattoria as well as on the wine.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

he Wine tasting ***** five stars, fantastic wines , great staff. Covid safe environment. We love the wines and have visited many times to see the new vintages
The restaurant was a very disappointing experience. One star would be generous. We haven’t been out much and this was one of the first times with a group of friends. We asked for an outside table for COVID safety.
When we arrived they refused to check our vaccination status The 5 waiters (only 1 was wearing a mask, 1 put on a mask at our request the rest refused). I was uncomfortable the whole time because they didn’t care about the safety of the customers.
It cost $39 per head for pizza, salad, and chips. Ridiculously over priced for what we got. We preordered the meals and they still got the allergy requirements wrong. Again they didn’t care about the safety of their customers to bother with allergy requirements. We have been to DalZotto many times in the past but this will be the last time.

Unfortunately, even when buying $200+ wine they still charged the $10 tasting fee. Everywhere else doesn’t charge you if you purchase wine. Was tempted to say, sorry but you can keep your wine and walk out!

Turned up with 8 adults and 8 teenage kids. They didn’t even flinch, unlike some other places nearby, and put on a very tasty spread of wines and food. The adults enjoyed the set menu and plenty of wines, and the kids enjoyed the pizzas, with plenty of running around outside. Would definitely recommend for anyone that enjoys food and/or wine.

Another wonderful visit here today. We were taken through the range of wines and were very impressed with the approach and attitude of the young staff member who knew the wines inside our and back the front and patiently took us through them. We loved the experience and left with a stack of wine and the knowledge that our membership of this winery was money well spent. Bravo.

DalZotto have a three bedroom house and 4 studio units. We stayed in one of the studio cabins.
The units are 20 ft by 8 ft shipping containers that have been converted into a bedroom with double bed, bathroom/toilet, bench with sink, and refrigerator. There is an airconditioner, but no television. No room for a table or chair.
The proprietors have done a good job making the most of what is really too small a space. One wall of the container has been cut out and replaced with a window and bifold glass doors, with a nice deck with a firepit and a couple of chairs beside it.
The site is picturesque in the vineyard, staff are very pleasant, and a free wine tasting is provided for guests. But 20 foot containers are just too small for couples.

We started our day of wine tasting here when we recently visited the area. Very friendly staff with an excellent knowledge of their industry. Quite a diversity of wines, certainly something for everyone and the prices reflected this. Our friends love Prosecco so were keen to visit here, and even though I am not a huge fan, I was impressed with what I tasted here. Certainly worth a visit.

Just had a wander around the estate (didn't eat or go to the restaurant) and then had a wine tasting.
The tasting was one of the best I've had. No cost, unlimited wine to try, amazing staff, friendly and knowledgeable.
Book ahead if you can, but just do it!

While in Whitfield my Husband and I called into Dal Zotto to purchase a few bottles of wine from the cellar door only to be ignored when entering while inside another group of people came in and were acknowledged, we ended up leaving and buying from a vineyard up the road that was very inviting and had great tasting wine.
Will never return and would definitely not be recommending Dal Zotto to family and friends

Called in today to do a tasting of the latest Dal Zotto wines, having purchased them on a regular basis (normally the Prosecco). Despite the cellar door having only one other patron, we were completely ignored despite being in the room for approx five minutes, and we felt rather unwelcome and decided to leave. I am not sure if it was because my wife and our friend walked in and she was wearing a head scarf (courtesy of a recent medical condition) or we just did not look like wine buying types. I would recomend not bothering going to Dal Zotto but traveling a little further down the road to Pizzini where the wine and the welcome is so much better.
Dal Zotto have lost our business for life.

We stopped here on a very hot day for a late lunch and were not disappointed. The waitress described all the choices in detail and was spot on with her recommendations. We had the platter from the blackboard and also the Bombe Alaska. This was humungous - one serve would have been enough for both of us, but it was so good that we didn't leave any, so didn't need any dinner later on!
