The Official Site for Warburton Valley - The Waterwheel in the township of Warburton provides tourist information, an artists gallery, an Environment Centre and showcases locally handmade goods. The Waterwheel on the main street of Warburton is your destination for all things Warburton Valley. More than a Visitor Information Centre, The Waterwheel is home to the gorgeous Handmade shop, a hub for local wine, an Art Gallery and eco Indoor Forest. Art also elevates the surrounding parklands to visual experiences that nourish and inspire. Don't miss the Great Steps of Warburton, a community art project, the historical murals on the railway siding and totem poles. The historic Waterwheel is an icon of the towns ever-evolving story and a great place to stop by.

The staff was very helpful here as this Waterwheel doubles up as Visitor Center. It also hosts a small local animal museum kind of thing. A good place to get information about the local places.

What a great found. A huge waterwheel was turning water and it was falling on stairs. No one would want to walk on these days. I stood at the bottom, looking at the Waterwheel. It was splendid! Next to the Warburton Waterwheel were colorful stairs....More

Right in the middle of the town next to the tourist info centre you will find this giant waterwheel- quite lovely! What I loved were the mosaic steps leading up to the wheel. Worth a moment to take a look.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. They mosaic steps were made by 300 members of the community. Did you see the poetry in them? See you here again soon.

Apart from the great water wheel there’s a small gallery with art and crafts for sale and visitor information about the local area. Regular events. Helpful friendly staff.

As part of the visitors centre there is working waterwheel. Inside the centre there is an art exhibition and a chance for young children to learn about the animals in Victoria State.

One of my favourite places to see the Yarra River. Good little pit stop as you head to attractions further on. It’s free so it’s hard to give bad review. I personally found info centre staff very helpful as well
