Best wine tasting anywhere!
The variety from Riesling/Pinot Grigio to Cab Sav/Shiraz, delicious. Fortified *****
Jen Pfeiffer (24 hours before O/S trip), extremely generous with her time, chatted to the eight ‘Red October’ crew about all things wine. Fascinating.
Janice looked after our tastings.
All left with plenty of “reminders”🍷for tasting with our family and friends. Do yourself a favour! Also arrange a bus or designated driver👍

I guess Jen took the photo cause she isn’t in it. Janice is such a lovely complement to our Pfeiffer Wines Team. She is kind, generous, knowledgeable and loves our wines..."a hostess with the mostess."

Had an exceptional tasting session today with Jean at Pfeiffer Wines. Plenty of knowledge and information about their wines and the place is absolutely magnificent for a picnic. Go there and enjoy the experience.

This was the best wine tasting experience that I've experienced. I wrote down the name of our host but I lost the piece of paper. Her name started with a K. (Sorry). She put in so much effort to make our visit so memorable. She gave us blind tastings and showed us how much difference the type of wine glass makes in the taste of a wine. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the wines she was serving. Aside from our great host - the wines were great as well! I walked out with over a case and signed up as a member! I'll be back again!

Also, welcome to our “pfabulous” wine club. You will get so many treats throughout your journey with us. Our daughter, Jen is a brilliant Winemaker. And that is not just because I am her Mum. We had a great hour or so wine tasting and looking around the grounds. Staff were lovely, knowledgeable and we of course left with 2 bottles of wine and 3 bottles of sticky sweet fortifieds. The grounds are amazing - especially the Sunday Creek bridge that holds functions and the river is full of turtles and carp.

Thank you for coming to visit Pfeiffer Wines and for your terrific review after your visit. I am glad you have a selection of our wines to enjoy over the next little while. The Turtles are about to go into their winter hibernation but sadly the carp are always there. Come back in the springtime and you may be "pfortunate" enough to see a migration of baby turtles coming out of their nests and of course you can top up on your "pfine" Pfeiffer wines.

Wow! Wow! Wow!
Three wows for location, wines and staff.
My wife and I have just enjoyed a memorable afternoon at Pfeiffer Wines .
After a tasting session, lead by the very knowledgeable Alex, we took a bottle of Rosé down to the Creek.
We saw lots of turtles and many large carp ( but unfortunately no platypus) in addition to the many birds.
When we returned to the winery to buy another bottle (we are limited to how much we can carry back to the UK) we were greeted by Jen who gave us some insights to what they do here.
Highly recommended. Our best winery visit by far this trip.

We went to pfeiffers to have a glass of wine and relax. The weather was not great but the wine is lovely and smooth. The staff are friendly and love a chat. Our daughter works at billsons and the staff were interested in her too. Great visit and a great cab merlot.

Thank you for your TA review following your recent visit to Pfeiffer Wines. We are glad you enjoyed your visit despite the weather. Come back to visit your daughter in Autumn. It was lovely she was with you. As she would know, we have a very close association with Bilsons. The Cab Merlot is a beautiful wine. I call it " a blend of friends" The two grape varieties are great together.

Pfeiffer Wines are located on the banks the mighty Murray River, in the Rutherglen wine region. It'. Pfeiffer has earned an international reputation for producing fine wines, I especially like the fruity whites. The best way to experience Pfeiffer's range is to book a Seated Tasting. It takes around an hour, bookings are essential.

It is a good thing that came out of Covid and our Staff love offering this experience for everyone to enjoy. We had such a lovely time! Great for families, accommodating about us tasting their lovely wines so that our kids could play outside in the cubby house and toys. A perfect wine tasting experience with thoughtful staff who paid attention to our tastes in wine.

Thank you for your "pfantastic" TA review about your recent visit to Pfeiffer Wines. We love welcoming families and seeing children enjoy simple things like our cubby house and sandpit. You will have to bring the children back in the summer to feed the turtles who love welcoming families too, especially those who feed them.😊 We have the "specially formulated turtle food" so call in at the Cellardoor to get some.

Historic Pfeiffer Wines is a stalwart of the Rutherglen region, which is internationally famous for its wines. In the mid-19th century, this was a gold mining area. When the gold ran out, some enterprising souls turned to producing wine. Some wineries are in the 6th generation of ownership. The vignerons have a deep sense of history. Visitors to Pfeiffers Wines can partake in a Seated Tasting Experience at a minimal cost, and try some award-winning wines.

We booked a $10 one-hour seated tasting, and we were blown away! One hour? It took the best part of two hours to get through the 33 (that’s right 33!) wines on the tasting menu. All accompanied by the Cheese Platter, of course.
Jeff, our sommelier, was wonderful, quickly picking up our taste preferences and explaining the different wines and vintages with humour and style.
And the setting is absolutely beautiful. We had live music playing on the lawns as we enjoyed our wines among the barrels.
I’ve done plenty of wine tastings all over, but this was unquestionably the very best. Thanks guys!
Oh, also, the wines are fantastic! We joined their wine club and picked up more than a couple of cases.
