Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

such a pretty beach honestly the most beautiful beach I've ever been too. but if you are not a strong swimmer avoid high tide or swimming here all together it can be very dangerous i've almost died here so many times and i'm a strong swimmer.

Go to Sorrento Back Beach for the rugged coastline scenery more so than swimming or the sand although there is a pleasant stretch of the latter. Take the walk along the coastline south or north for great views.

My wife and I drove here recently during our annual holiday in Mornington Peninsula. We arrived at 8:30 am on a Monday morning when there were very few people around, which is excellent for social distancing. Also had plenty of car parking spots available.

We were staying at a Resort in Fingal for two nights, which is around 20 minutes drive from here. We have been here before a few years ago, but did not walk up to Coppin's Lookout, which we did during this visit. The views from that lookout are very scenic.

We also walked to Sphinx Rock and the beach where that Rock is located.

What a magnificent spectacular place to go for a coastal walk. I have been walking the back beach track for 40 years now and it never fails to enlighten me. This is a must do when you visit the area.

We love driving to the Sorrento Back Beach, and even though it is winter and cold and windy, so lovely and refreshing to look out from the carpark over the ocean.

Walking distance from our accommodation. Plenty of different walking options in terms of beach and tracks in the bush. Fantastic scenery. Not overly busy and a must do when in the area.

Come at low tide and you’ll be rewarded with the largest rock pools I’ve ever come across.
If the weather is good bring your bathers as part of the beach is manned with life guards or hop in one of the larger rock pools for a swim.
Stairs leading down to the beach are fewer then other spots and plenty of parking.
